I want direct TV for my TV. I have it at home. What is the simplest answer?

When we had Direct, I took the receiver out of the bed room, and used a veu Qube to get the signal. Travel all over with it and had no trouble. A few years ago DW change to Dish now piggy back of of the house and use a tailgater. for 7.00 a month

I do the same thing. Direct won't "do" HD with my Winegard Carryout, but I'm not that into an HD experience when in the motorhome. I've got 2 non-Genie receivers that I take for both TVs, and they work like a charm. I've heard that I won't get local stations once I'm over 250 miles from home, but so far that's never happened. Don't leave home without my little black boxes!

Portable dish is the easy answer, we have a Travler dish for HD tv while on the road. I use two receivers from the house.

To get DirecTV HD, I use the roof-mounted Winegard Trav'ler SK-SWM3 dish with the DirecTV Genie and mini-Genie for the main and bedroom TVs. DirecTV bills for these RV receivers as mirrored receivers on our home DirecTV account. If all you want is SD, then you can use an SD receiver and a VuQube 1000 carry-out.

For additional $7/month, you can get a receiver you can leave in your RV. You need to purchase an antenna ..... either a standard dish or a tailgator/winguard.

We are thinking of getting a satellite dish for our RV. At our house, we have whole home Direct TV with three receivers (two DVRs and one Genie). I'm planning on ordering a new receiver (either a DVR or Genie) as another 'room' to permanently place in our RV. However, what I haven't been able to understand is... can I watch shows that are recorded on our DVRs in our house on the receivers in the RV if I add it to the whole home set up? Even if we are away from home? Or would we only have access to shows that we record on the DVR in the RV itself?
