Dual XDCPA11BT as replacement for Axerra Q&A

The Dual XDCPA11BT seems to come up a lot when discussing Axerra replacement. I thought it might be handy to have a single place for this particular unit and some Q&A

Some observations:

* This unit lacks the ability to watch the backup camera while driving.
* You can plug the backup camera into A/V in, but then you lose the ability to listen to music while watching the camera because the unit expects audio from the RCA inputs.
* In my '19 E350 chassis, the trim ring doesn't fully fill the opening (small gap below the opening)

My wife really likes being able to watch the backup camera.

I'm considering putting the backup camera on the camera input and adding a micro push on/push off switch that makes the head unit think we're in reverse. I'm assuming that the audio doesn't stop when the head unit thinks we're in reverse.... not 100% on that.

Turn on the music and put the vehicle in reverse (with the reverse trigger connected). See what happens.

Music plays, screen goes blank and eventually says no camera.. Sounds like I'll need to get in there and remove that connection or switch the camera input and override that reverse as it does the same when on A/V in..

Thats 100% what I did. Reverse camera on-demand when I want it.

Done, works nice. Wife mentioned that the nice new monitor screen highlights how crappy the camera is. Maybe I should get out a ladder and give it a cleanin..
