Took some 1000 grit wet sandpaper to the etched on decal area. It removed most of it. Pretty happy with how it turned out

Wait for detail pads to get here then I'll start polishing it. 3m restorer & wax #09096

Started the buffing today. First time using a da buffer.

Started with the area a round the drivers window. Did everything above the floor line. Did this cuz I needed to get the area that would be behind the slide when closed

Then did the front and all the front cap on the sides. Didn't do the top of the front cap. Will need the bigger ladder or go on the roof to do it

Pretty happy how it came out. Big test will be the slide where the majority of the decals were. Should get to that tomorrow after finishing the rear of the coach

You can still see where the decals were by the window but the front looks new. No shadow or any sign that a decal was ever on itClick image for larger version

Front decal was in great shape. I dont expect the rest to be nearly as good. I know the old decal area will be very visible on the sides

Finished the driverside. I'm happy with the shine but you can definitely see where the decals were. Hopefully in a couple years it will blend, fade, into each other

My wool pad broke. The velcro part separated from the pad. Glued it back together with 2 part spray adhesive. If it looks good tomorrow I'll start on the back and passenger side

Worked 5 hours today to get it finished. Wool pad was dead so I used an orange cutting foam pad. It did pretty well.

Next time it needs a wax job I'll be paying for. It was a lot of work and I'm lazy.

That looks really good. It is a lot of labor involved.

Excellent Jerry! Yea I would rather pay to have it wax and buff than do it myself. I watch 4 young guys spent the better part of a day waxing and buffing! Not for me anymore!!!
