The FlexArmor Permanent RV Roof Solution

Wow. If we decide to keep for years and years may consider this.
Has anyone ever done this?

FlexArmor boldly abandoned the repeat customer philosophy when it comes to providing a product that will somehow break down after moderate use, thus forcing you to do the repair all over again. FlexArmor passionately believes they never want to see customers again once they leave.

I’ve seen several units with this done. Needs to be put on by experienced people. Not some jack leg.

So did you get your free estimate? Were you sitting down?

Might consider it for a park model, juice is probably not worth the squeeze for a standard Thor MH.

Yep, I did mine.
I have no idea what the price is now, but when I did mine it was right in line with the price of a traditional re-roof job for a new membrane. Mine was done at the original location in Greencove Springs, FL. I happen to live fairly close.....

Hands down the single best modification I did....& I have done a lot of modifications to my rig... a whole lot!

Wife reports the rig is quieter on the road
it's quieter while parked
It' noticeably better insulated.
I opted to spray over the shower skylight so I'm sure that helps on those fronts. A person can now stand on what was teh skylight...it's that strong.
I have very little worry about leaks, hail, limb damage, etc.

actually I have an appointment to get a spot respray done where I installed solar a couple years ago and also over a replacement TV antenna. I sealed the solar with Eterna bond so I doubt it will ever leak, but as it is it does require some minor maintenance....

But yeah, it was expensive and the ONLY reason I did it was that I had a seam leak up there...and at the nose cone of the overcab bunk, where the front nose skin was too short and there was no way to seal it at the seam to the side walls...so I was able to jury rig the attachment and prelim seal...and they sprayed over the seam giving it structure and a very good seal.

The FlexArmor roof for our 2006 Hurricane 34 was $7500.

Was also doing some research and found this since we may have to replace some of the underlayment. It's about half the thickness of the FlexArmor with a 50 year warranty.

I had it put on my 2006 Knight, best thing I ever did, no leaking and all openings are coated as well.

lost that coach in a fire. Anyway I traded my Thor Tuscany DP in on a 2014 Entegra Cornerstone (second owner). Went through 2 hurricanes and on both occasions I had water intrusion from the roof, passenger window, front window and drivers side window. I was stressed to the point I was tired of the water coming in, as everyone knows, if your going to have leaking, most of the time it is from the roof and so I had the flex armor sprayed on my coach, they sprayed up the front and rear as well as the drip edge. I sleep very well at night.

keep in mind if you want to add anything on the roof, recommend having it done prior to the flex armor, it took a grinder on my 06 knight to add an antenna.

I had the skylight sprayed, the reason is over time it can become degraded, A guy accidentally stepped on the skylight on my 06 Knight after it was already spayed and I had to incur the additional cost for removing and respraying.

the sides are closely color matched as possible.

Suzzanne
