footrests to add to swivel front seats?

Hi all,
We're new to RVing and the Forum, but have been reading for a few weeks. Thanks for all the help you give!

I love that the driver/passenger seats swivel into the living area, but would love to add a footstool that'll fit up underneath and swing out. Has anyone done this and have any recommendations on where to find them?

Thanks!
Grace (and Mac)

I've seen anything that you could attach to them: it might be because of their role in the "driving part" of the RV. (Nothing to get hung up on the vehicles controls...)
We like to use Ottomans for this purpose. They even have flip-tops, and provide some more storage room.

I have seen them in some other Class A's - I think they are made by Flex Steel. I may contact them and see what options they have, but your option may be the best one due to cost. Thanks!

Not fancy, but our solution to a foot rest for the DW was a winner:

We also use ottomans that double as storage bins.

Simple solutions are usually my first choice. We turn the seats in our Vegas just ninety degrees which allows for conversations without requiring footstool solutions.

Mrs S uses a folding footstool under her feet most of the time when facing forward. Folded, it is a perfect three inches high.

I found this to be a huge uncomfortable problem....and fix it on our winniebago intent, so the problem was fixed...what I did on the intent was to extend the floor,... well as evolution, I decided it would be nice to add a pantry in that space...so here's what I did...

the other thing I noticed, the cup holder was way too low to be useful ...spinning the seats to the living area , you would have to be 8' tall for feet to rest on the floor...

with the floor extended, and able to open, I now have a place to keep tools and canned goods,...and most of all... a place to rest your feet when sitting
I did post this up when I did it, being an attention hound, fishing for likes... didn't get enough replies ,good or bad, to warrant the time it takes to post here...seems there are a lot of members that don't contribute much, but if they have a problem ..use the help from other members... the'll ask a question,.. get answers... then never reply to their own thread the out come...great group of knowledge here...and you will get answers...

anyway....heres more pics...hope you all enjoy,

as you can see in the pics, the cup holder is now high enough to use, but,... you will also notice by looking at the post times.... it took half an hour out of my life to post a few pics..

Interesting idea, but because our slide out starts right behind the driver's seat, there's no room to extend the floor. I might try the ottoman idea someone suggested. Thanks for your input and the photos!

Really great that you included all the photos, and what great extra storage. Thank you! I try to acknowledge that folks post - I think a lot of people aren't as comfortable posting and just lurk (in a good way). So extra special thanks to all of you more gregarious posters! So generous!

Grace

Thanks for taking time out of your life to share your creativity. (I get it, now get over it. :tongue thoroughly in cheek!) I love it! Please tell us more about the cup holder elevator and console. What's going on with all them wires? I tried to enlarge that section but it's outta focus.
