Front bumper 2" sq receiver hitch.

I am thinking about getting a 2" square trailer hitch receiver that mounts to the front frame and protrudes through the front bumper. Found one on Etrailer that they say is easy to install to fit my 2016 E series Ford cutaway, RV. It doesn't seem too expensive and I am a do-it-yourselfer as far as installation.

Has anybody else used/installed or had 1 installed one of these?
Do you have any regrets about it?

I have been to swap meets, rod or bike events what have you, where your camp spot is across open lawn like terrain. I have also seen these week long events get lots of rain, then mgt would help unstuck these rigs pulling them out with a tractor. lol

Etrailer also offers a tow pull adapter with a shackle on it. I seem to think this better than laying in muck looking for a good attachment point that you won't just rip your bumper off.

I am also thinking of building some sort of carry rack that will slip in it too, to free up the rear receiver because I am seriously considering a toad vehicle, or tow dolly. I'm getting more serious now about the long haul, .

Here are some links about what I'm talking about, any thoughts?

How much weight are you planning to put on the receiver?

If you want a carry rack the front hitch looks like a good idea. These motorhomes are very heavy at the rear, so putting this weight up front instead of hanging off the back will help balance the weight out. You just have to make sure that the stuff on the rack doesn't significantly block air flow through the radiator.

I pull a toad with my 32' class C, and I put a hitch-mounted bike rack on the toad. It works okay, but I have considered installing a front hitch and carrying the bikes up front.

I had the etrailer front hitch.
It was perfectly made, perfectly painted fit perfectly using existing holes and was what seemed to be, hydroformed.
It's about a 45 minute install, less if you have a good assortment of tools.

I highly recommend it.
I sold it to gnach when I changed front suspension.
Maybe he's installed it...?

I put one on my F350, it's a life saver, whether it's my 30' car hauler, pontoon boat, or lowboy. Car hauler (2 15/16 inch ball) is almost impossible to get in my limited space safely & by myself.

You'll be glad you did it.

I want to build a short carry box fabricated out of steel to carry tire change tools and a port-a-power jack. Something I can also step up on when I mop wash the front overhead, lol. It won't obstruct air flow to the radiator, and totally be no more than 200 lbs.

I had a front mount on a class C I drove for 90k miles, Alaska, Mexico, everywhere and it was an excellent addition. I'm now trying to figure out if I can do it on my class A
