I use my iPad and the Sygic app that duckface mentioned. You do have to download the state maps that you use but the app works really good .

Truckmap is also a very good app.
The pic is about half of what we use/have available.
Sygic is hard to beat for notices.

How well does that work on a 3G flip phone? My cell phone bill is $26.25 a month with unlimited tank and text but no data.
