We ordered a door from https://shop.stoett.com/nautilus-ret...-doors-for-rv/. It’s being delivered tomorrow. It’s not glass, but it should hopefully be better than the curtain.

This is what came in our ACE:

https://jazzsales.com/product/arcadi...door-platinum/

Note it retains the curve at the top for more room in the shower.

I installed the Stoett sliding door and like it much better than the shower curtain that came with the unit. It is a fairly straight forward installation, just be sure of your cuts - the old measure twice and cut once axiom.

I have a 2016 Axis 24.2 and assume we have a similar shower setup.

Bill,
Yours looks great! We can’t wait to get our
door up.
We have pretty much the same shower.
I received the door today, and when I held up one of the jams, I noticed the Christmas tree rivets are in the way, keeping the double sided tape from fitting flush to the wall.
How did you handle that?

Ken

Ken, I don't recall them being in the way on my installation. On my installation the rivets are on the shower walls. The "jam" is a hollow molded section of the shower wall that sits against MH wall and is smooth. I placed the door as far inboard as I could and keep it on the "jam". At that location, the screen drains directly into the bottom of the shower and not on the ridge at the base of the door.

For your issue, you may be able to add a layer of thicker double stick to the door frame to give it more flex around the rivets. I don't think it would make much difference in the rigidity which, at least for us, came mostly from the two cross pieces. I caulked the side pieces with a gray silicone and it looks great - no gap where the foam tape is.

What was more of a problem for me was the fact that the left jam (as you look at the picture) was on a non-rigid wall (mine has a sliding door within it).
It kept trying to flex away from the jam and I had difficulty keeping it lined up while attaching the foam tape. It might have been easier with another pair of hands.

Still, it was not that bad a job and it came out good.

PS Ken,

The way mine came and was placarded, it was intended to open and close from the left which would make it awkward with the commode on the right side.

All I had to do was install it upside down, no real difference other than it opens from the right. I pealed off the placards and reversed them, not that anyone is going to read them.

Bill

Ken, great job. It really looks good. I like the color but it would not have worked in our motorhome.

To answer your questions:

1. My wife and I did the install ourselves, after I stared at it for a few weeks lol.

2. The included instructions were very easy to follow. As Bill said, measure, measure, then measure again before you cut.

3. We didn't contact customer support, but they do have videos on their website.

4. We have a 2018 Vegas 27.7, our shower is straight, but the curtain rod was curved.

5. It is a Stoett Nautilus with the brushed nickel frame, and the opaque stripe screen.

Because of the white rivets in the shower walls, we had to add some double sided tape which we found at Lowe's. You may or may not need to do this.

Regards,
Ken
