How do I put second A/C on separate power source

Hi all, my 2003 33’ Hurricane only has the 30 amp power supply. I would like to upgrade it so the second A/C will run at the same time as the other when necessary. My model has a 3 way switch next to the bed as well.
I know what wire feeds the bedroom A/C and could easily connect my 20 amp circuit to it. But, that would circumvent the ATS. Is there a way to do this where everything would work normally?

There are many creative threads of people who have added a second A/C unit. You may want to search and read about some of the ways people have done it.

However, if you want "everything to work normally" you would need to upgrade to 50A service.

That means a new ATS, Power Distribution Center, Shore Power cable and inlet as well as some rewiring.

Some people have installed a separate 20A circuit for the second A/C and just plug into the 20A receptacle on the pedestal when they want to run both A/C's.

That is what I would do. Leave the existing AC system in place and run another circuit with 12 gauge wire and a 20A breaker inside for the second A/C unit.

I already have two A/C’s. When on shore power only one will work at a time. When I switch to gennie I can then run both simultaneously. If I add a breaker for the new 20 amp circuit how will it switch over with the ATS?
