Insulated the cabinets

Todays mod was to insulate the cabinets mounted in the dinette slide. I used Reflectix and HVAC foil tape.

Took advantage of a rainy day.

I also ordered RV Airflow systems and they are being shipped to our next stop.

We did the same during our trip last week. Next is to find something to plug the channels under the slides. Lots of air and mosquitos get through under the dinette

What's the point of putting insulation inside your cabinets, they are mounted on insulated walls?

I am waiting for RV Airflow to release the version for the Furrion AC,

Great suggestion for the cabinets. We have been using RV Airflow for about a year and love the improvement. We now have a strong flow of air back to the bedroom and to the overhead bunk area. Relatively easy to install but may need to make some modification to the styrofoam. A great buy.

So you can store food in the cabinets. The cabinets on slide walls is significantly hotter than interior cabinets. When the sun is hitting the slide the cabinets get hot, especially when the slide has no topper.

So my question is why not?

Insulated the cabinets

Was it worth the effort?

Yes. Now things inside the cabinets don’t get extremely warm.
