Weboost Antenna Installation

I just bought the Weboost 4G RV. It comes with a directional antenna that has to be setup each stop with suction cups on a window facing the closest cell tower. There is actually a website that tells you that information.

What I would like to do is swap the directional with an omnidirectional that either sits on the roof or on the side of the RV. Remember that I have the 25.2 which doesn't have a ladder.

One major piece of information is that the booster antenna has to be on the opposite (length-wise) side of the RV. They suggest 20 ft separation.

Anyone with experience? Maybe a roof mount with a ground plane and a quarter wavelength antenna and feeding the wire down the refrigerator vent. Another choice might be to attach it to the existing TV antenna and when driving, it would lie flat on the roof. But that would require punching a hole through the roof.

I mounted a sheet of metal on top of the fridge vent cover and ran the wire down the fridge vent and into the closet. Finding a good location for the internal antenna was tough (I think because the RV does not have much metal). The best placement I found put the fridge between the exterior and internal antennas. I mounted the mifi (hotspot) right next to the internal antenna. Seems to work well, but I have not used it much yet.
