There actually is no ideal system for all applications.
Any system should be tailored to your needs, your RV, and your pocketbook; in order to be YOUR ideal system.

There is no "one for all package deal". You can probably find some reviews on solar panels and controllers.

You can find lots of info by accessing the “search” function on this Forum.
Type in the word “solar”.

What you’ll find is that the majority start with 2 panels. They can be either solid or flex panels, depending on your ability and desire to mount them. And also your budget.
Most go with 100 watt panels, but you will find many who have installed 150 or 175 watt panels in pairs.

Next, you’ll need a Solar Charge Controller.
In my opinion, you’ll need a minimum 30 amp controller, either PWM or MPPT. PWM is the least expensive option and works fine. However many opt for the MPPT that is more efficient and has more features.
30 amp allows you to add more panels at a later date if desired.

You’ll need 10 gauge stranded wire if the RV isn’t pre-wired.
Many access the roof thru the refrigerator vent.
Also solar connectors and solar fuses.

Finally, you should decide if your current house batteries are sufficient or if you should upgrade. That is, the solar system charges the batteries. So you need good quality batteries to make your system run efficiently.
