Installing air horns

I ordered and now trying to install a 152 DB air horn. Very nice set up and can even be use to inflate tires and inflatable toys. Had to mount the horn facing down in the engine bay because I just didn't want to drill holes in the roof. The air tank and compressor is no mounted right behind the drivers seat in the basement storage compartment, Looks like it belongs and has always been there... Had to order some more airline today but slowly movin along.

Here is the main kit I am using and then made a few upgrades from there such as the manual pull switch and the Compressor Upgrade(100% Duty) oh and the tire inflation kit.

That's a nice setup! I want to do something similar on the 24.1. Thanks for sharing!

Not really sure that it is, but also illegal to pass me in a no passing zone on the left and that's why I got it... LOL...

Just a little test. The first horn is factory, then my Dixie horns and next the new air horn. In the video you really cant tell how loud each one is.

Nice! Especially when cut-off in traffic.

Please don't become one of those old fogies that blasts their air horn as they roll out of their campsite at 5:00 a.m.!

This used to be a common practice in the 70's, and there are still some who do it. Apparently they don't mind getting the bird salute on their way out of the campground/RVPark.

Beacher, I expect that the blast as you leave your campsite is a holdover from the sailing days. It is customary in a vessel to warn others that you are leaving a mooring.

Perfect, thanks for that! The funny thing is, last week I ordered air horns and led lights for the underside. Started searching for mounting ideas and came across both of your posts!

Thanks for your technical info and sharing your mods with us. I also installed my air horn in the engine bay. In the process, I think I blew the horn fuse, but looking into the fuse block, the only fuse related to the horn is a 60amp Horn/Lighting fuse. All systems work fine except the horn so I dont think it is the 60amp fuse. I cannot find a smaller 15 or 20? amp fuse. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. See photo of my fuse block map.

I found another fuse block under the dash. I do not have a map of what they are for.
They all look good, but I have not tested them yet. Does anyone have a map of these fuses?

I got it. It was fuse #2 in the smaller photo of the fuse block under the dash.
