Installing a Amazon firestick in Magnitude

Anyone have any instructions on installing and using the Amazon firestick on the coach tv's for s Magnitude XG32? I installed it at the HDMI switch point and attempted to scroll down in the TV menu but I have not been able to see it as a option.

I am using my Verizon hotspot as well as the internet source

Appreciate your support

Use your TV remote to pick the correct HDMI port that the Stick is in

You beed to go to the TV settings and switch the Input to the HDMI port number you put it into.

Once you do that you should ser the Firestick setup page.

Did you install it on the TV HDMI port or on an HDMI switch’s HDMI port?

If on a HDMI switch select the correct port on the switch and leave the TV alone.

I put it in the HDMI switch hoping it could be seen on all TV's. I will check it again but I pluged the stick in the power cord as well....

On the hdmi switch it can be seen on all tvs. Select the correct input port on the switch and leave the tv settings alone. Make sure the switch is wired correctly. On our Challenger, Thor wired my DVD as an output device rather that an input device. On our current rig Entegra has the Sat and Cable hookups outside backwards.

Is your HDMI switch a dumb switch or is it full matrix? Dumb switch all TVs must watch the same input while a full matrix allows different tvs to watch different input devices at the same time.

The picture below shows my full matrix switch in the middle.

The Magnitude only has Over-the-Air and Cable TV running to each TV stock. The TV's are not all connected via HDMI (at least that was the case for the 2020 and 2021 models and I suspect it has not changed with the 2022's).

So did you run your own HDMI switch and the cables to all the TV's?

In my experience with Firesticks they are very finicky about the HDMI communication. If they can't properly query the TV for display information the display will remain blank. Your HDMI switch may be interfering with the communication protocol: I had this problem just this week trying to connect a Firestick to an older PC monitor with an HDMI port. The Firestick did not like it and provided no display. But it works fine when connected to a modern TV.

Try connecting you Firestick directly to a TV HDMI port.

Thanks for the feedback guys - I am picking up the RV from storage tomorrow to head to a local state park and will give all the recommendations a shot.

I believe my HDMI is a dumb box? Not sure it is a small unit and came with the XG32

The hub in my unit definitely operates Bunk and bedroom. Haven’t tried the outside Tv with the hub yet.

I have my fire stick plugged into the hub.

I have mine set up exactly this way. The key as others have mentioned is making sure its plugged into the HDMI port marked INPUT. I'd wager this is your problem. All my TVs are able to view whatever I have playing at that moment and only that (meaning you cant watch different things at the same time on different TVs).

I might be mistaken here but if understand the OP question correctly he wants to plug the Firestick into an HDMI distribution point as opposed to a single TV. That being the case it will likely fail as the Firestick is paired to a single set as I understand it. I own one and that's my experience anyway.

I have a Firestick and Roku connected into an HDMI switch and it works fine. Firestick is not limited to a single rv.

Thanks for info and that clears it up. I had moved our Roku to a differenit set at home and it wanted the whole setup to be run again. So you have Roku and Firestick both able to provide input via hdmi switch. Our rv setup is via coax to two sets with the stock Winegard splitter so I will need to physically move the stick to make it work. Seems a test with both sticks is in order to verify. I have two dedicated Raspberry Pi systems for front and rear tvs but it would be nice to take advantage of Firestick if I don't need to buy another one.

Firestick in hub let's say hdmi 3, now tv remote source hdmi 3, check all other tvs plug hdmi cable into hdmi 3, my rv had hdmi cables in different number inputs, got tired of trying to remember which TV was hdmi input number so made them all same number.

TVs should be plugged into outputs on the hdmi switch and not inputs.

The hdmi on all my tvs is hdmi 1 with each source (dvd, sat, Roku, fire) having its own input location on the switch.

Thor had ours all screwed up when we bought the Challenger a few years back.

I was referring to HDMI cables at each tv, I moved them all to HDMI input 3.

That’s personal preference. Mine are all HDMI 1
