Installing XM in a Vegas 25.2

Has anyone found a reasonably simple and neat way to put an Sirius/XM antenna on the roof of their Vegas? How did you route your wires into the dash area?

I've been looking at the rig all day and have a couple of ideas but don't want to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks, AA0RI

Installed a Cellular booster in rig and an antenna on roof - drilled next to the tv antenna to run the cable thru the roof and ran the cable behind the tv above door. Then put the cable behind the door edging this should get it down to the floor for you to run it to dash.

Thanks, great idea. I was thinking about sticking the antenna to the top of the TV antenna in a puddle of calk.

Right now I just have the satellite antenna sitting on the dash board near the back of the window and it seems to be working fine.

I have my antenna on the dash also , it's all the way forward at the base of the windshield .
Works great when heading south and can get sporadic when heading north. For the most part it is fine .
Bad dads routing sounds good but I think you would need and extension for the antenna wire to make the trip.

Thanks petew, It is working well in my drive way and I'm parked facing the North. I thought having the antenna back towards the top of the windshield it might be more like on top of the roof. I'll move it around a bit before sticking it down to find the best spot.

This is where my antenna is residing for now, base of the windshield by the wiper arm.
It works well enough that I am going to leave it for now , since I found an extension harness for the antenna wire I may move it later using Baddads route through to the roof.
