The trip up became a little exciting when we came to a bridge that was out for repairs, GPS rerouted on a small country road with barely enough room for two normal vehicles to pass, had to pull over to extreme right side of the road several times where there was a big ditch, go tense a couple of times.

The "resort" consisted of VERY small sites with no cable or wifi. The campground does not allow mats? like you even had enough room to put one out! Sites were so tight I had to retract the awning for a trailer to park next to us!

Watched a guy with water powered jet boots do stunts, he was good and it was interesting to watch! I'd love to try this but I'm sure I would end up with the hose around my neck, or something worse!

First road trip after installing the doghouse insulation, after about five hours on the road I can report it is well worth the effort!!! No heat from the doghouse at all! On cruise control there is virtually no engine noise except when the cruise kicks down for a hill. Most of the engine noise now comes from the firewall and thru the floor, may add some floor insulation later. I don't have a decibel meter so I'm basing my observations on about 6,000 miles of previous experience. I am considering the insulation mod a complete success and can definitely recommend it!!!

Wire attached to front window shade

I noticed a wire hanging from the top drivers side of the front window shade. Does anyone know the purpose for the wire?

Here's a link that tells how to use the button on the end of that wire and the shade control switch to set the upper and lower limits of the shade for when the ignition is on and when it's off.

MCD Windshield Shade Upper and Lower Limit Adjustment

My shade wouldn't go all the way up until I set the limits.

We're moving!

Myra has been wanting to move back to Indiana so she can be close to her elderly parents and family, since I'm retired now and have no other family it's fine with me! Plus I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, I actually love my mother in law!!!

Left for Indiana last Thursday to take our boat to my brother in laws house for storage until we get moved. Spent all day Sunday and Monday looking at lake homes in NE Indiana, drove over 350 miles looking!

Last house I looked at was the one!!! New construction in a protected channel on a beautiful lake with a new dock already installed. I finally got my dream home on a lake, I can walk out the back door and climb in the boat, NO MORE TRAILERING, woo-hoo! Three car garage so I'll have a place for the boat in the winter. Only downside is I can't keep the MH at the house, going to have to find a place for storage. Guess you can't have everything.

Hate to leave Texas for the cold and snow but I'll adjust I'm sure. Going to miss Texas but NOT going to miss the Dallas traffic!!! Lots of people in the lake area have golf carts, guess I'm going to add one of those to my collection of "toys".

We close on our Texas home the end of this month and on our Indiana home middle of October, time to start packing. I just hope this is our last move, we've made 8 cross country moves in the last 18 years, time to finally settle down!

Hamilton lake. My wife was born and raised in Muncie, all of her family is still there and she wanted to be closer because of her elderly parents.

Where are you from?

Congrats on your house hunting and good luck with the upcoming move. I hope you are still planning on attending the balloon fiesta next year (2018). Looks like you are closer to Thor Motor Coach HQ. Give our best to Myra!!

I get excited when I see there are new posts in this thread. Unfortunately most of the new posts have nothing to do withHurricane mods.

Agreed. The socializing would be better on another topic/thread.

Dont think the socializing will end. We have become good friends because of this thread. Hopefully more friendships will be added.
