Used to be much nicer. I'm a 4th generation native that finally got run out. California in the 60's and 70's was a much different place.

Colorado is much like that, but its heading towards the California of today. If it wasn't for the Texans.... They say Colorado is 30% native, 30% California escapees and 30% Texans. But nobody knows why the Texans are here given how fond Texans say they are of Texas.

The move to Denver involved the 1st grandchild, now 3. They are quite enamored with the motorhome, especially for breakfast in a warm place after Mom and Dad made them sleep in the tent.

So Cal is actually an awesome place to live. Just need to get rid of the politicians, taxes, traffic, and over crowded neighborhoods.

Im 30 minutes from some of the best beaches in the states. Mountains 30 to 60 minutes same as the desert

The problems above want me to leave

Theater seating in the 29m

Hello guys...well, I'm at it again with another new mod. I was inspired by Jerry to change out the couch and replace it with theater seating. I purchased the unit from RecPro via Amazon Prime: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Assembly was easy and the unit was no problem to get into the RV. I did it all by myself. It came in three boxes via FEDEX and only took 4 days from order to delivery.

Disassembly of the couch was more of a challenge but doable. See pictures attached for it's new location once I reassembled it.

Thanks again Jerry! LOL

Bought the same unit for our 32n. We are very pleased with it. Now trying to figure out what to do with sofa bed I took out. Should have done this 2 years ago.

Lots of good info in this thread. It’s a forum unto itself.

Trash question for 29M owners - has anyone got a good solution for kitchen trash under the sink in a 29M?

Dino - thanks - my wife loves your new recliner/chairs. THANKS!

We keep our trash in a separate 13G can against the opened bathroom door. Keep cookie sheets, crockpot, cooking oil, etc under sink.
We store trash can in shower when moving.

Soon to be Hurricane owner.😀

We are so excited. Feb. 7th taking possession of our new 2018 Hurricane 34J. This is our 4th motor home, so we aren’t exactly novices. However this coach is equipped with things we have never had before. I have quite a list going for the PDI which I believe covers most of the major operating systems.
I thought I would ask Hurricane/Windsport owners if there is anything out of the ordinary that I should look for, or a question that I should ask. Thanks!

Be sure to check the USB charging station if it has one. Ours did not work as well as several others on this forum had problems also. Have them test the San T Flush system for you ours leaked inside the coach. Have someone inside when they apply water to make sure it's not leaking inside the RV. Many others had this issue too. Make sure all the outlets work. One of our 12 volt on the dash was not even hooked up.

Bring a multimeter and test every outlet and USB port. Check the ladder to make sure it is firmly bolted to the rear, you will find out if there is any give when you go up to check the roof! Look at the flooring and wallpaper to see if any fasteners have "popped" and left a bulge. Make sure all equipment can power on and works, including all things on the dashboard and in the kitchen. As stated already, check the holding tanks... you should be able to just use fresh water and have just water come out. Tire pressure should also be checked - they shouldn't be at the max pressure, or you will have a hard ride.

Most of all, take your time!

How do you test a USB port with a multi tester? That would be useful information.

We use a medium sized plastic trash bucket we got at Walmart. I use the stove to store cookie sheets with hand towels to stop rattles along with other things we store in there.

Dino,

I’m looking to the same RecPro recliners but Anna Marie is concerned about how the back cushions would support her neck. Our current house couch pushes her head forward which hurts her neck, which is why she wants to get rid of it. Are the upper sections of the RecPro backs slim enough that they wouldn’t push your head forward, she’s 5’2” working on 5’1”. The only other alternative I see is the Shop4seats Monaco that look much less likely to cause a problem, but at twice the price.
