Glad you’re enjoying Jerry’s mod thread, lot of great ideas and information from some really Great people!!!

Thanks guys for the welcome. Great idea SuperD with under the bunk storage. Only issue with my tribe the short ones couldn't reach it which means another "Hey Dad" for me.

Thanks again all for the welcome!

Electrical System Questions

I get the need and addition of a surge protector. And I understand the purpose of the Inverter, Converter, transfer switch and such. However what I have questions about is--is the OME equipment installed by Thor, in my case the 2018 29M, adequate? Should I invest in upgrading Inverter, Converter, transfer switch and if so what might be the level of those upgrades?
Sorry for the lack of gray matter here, just not my strong suit.

Happy Labor Day to all---and Thanks for your thoughts

I wanted to share a mod I made to the over-cab bunk ladder storage. If you use the bunk regularly as we do, you probably hate the storage location. So I removed the clip hardware from under the master bed and relocated it to the driver side rear corner, the gap between the slide and rear wall. Perfect fit and not visible when slide is closed. In the attached photo's, you can see it when slide is open but stores clean and out of the way. Sorry for the side view photos.
Welcome to the forum! [emoji106] I store my never use it ladder in same spot. It was originally behind my now gone jack knife sofa. Looks good.

I know nothing about your particular model but assume you are referring to the inverter Thor installed. My ACE came with a 1000watt inverter installed to run the tv's and only the tv's. We do a lot of dry camping and 1000watts is not enough and doesnt power the circuits we need. If that currents suffices then I wouldnt mess with it. The converter wouldnt need changed unless you added a lot of batteries and made the converter struggle.

Sanford,
Dino and I are meeting at the casino on the 4th at 2pm then driving to the cg together. That way we will be parked next to each other. If you can get there on the 4th it would be great to have you join us

Was tired of the ac and dew/water dripping down my front and side windows. So I bought a 25' piece of trimlok drtrimlok

Jery

Trim-Lok Drip Rail – Black, PVC... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CJRGX5M?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Started the install today. Got the passenger side and doggy window done. Its freaken hot outside so I might finish tomorrow. Should have started when I woke up but was very busy doing nothing

Hopefully it holds up and catches the water. Our front side windows overlaps the front cap so the cap seem is towards the front of the window preventing me from using one piece. I'll try to build a ramp/drip rail out of silicone or something else to divert this little bit of water into the trimlok

Will post more as I get more done

Pics of dirty window. You can see the drip lines. Have this on the windshield also. Very annoying

Pics of trimlok installed. I put the tape to hold it in place but its really not needed. I'm just anal that way. It takes up to 72 hours for the 3m tape to cure. Wanted to make sure the bended part didn't loosen up.

Also used a wrench to push the tape /trimlok down to help bond the tape. The wrench really let's you put pressure on the trimlokClick image for larger version

Perhaps it is good that it was hot when you applied the Trimlock, otherwise you might have had difficulty with the bends.

Agree. After measuring all the pieces I needed I cut everything and sat them on top of my car in the sun

Finished the dtiverside and now its time to get in the pool to cool off

While installing the driver side looking at the front cap I started planning how to stop the drips there. Think butyl tape will work well. I can molded a channel in it and it should stick fine
