Hurricane range top cutting board
We weren't happy with the Thor issue smoked glass range top cover our 29M came with. After looking at aftermarket cutting boards that are meant to cover the range top, but must be stowed when using the burners, I decided to craft my own.
I removed the folding glass cover. Found a 20"x24"x3/4" hardwood cutting board and cut it to the exact dimensions (with radius's in back corners) as the stove top metal frame where the glass cover seated. I then cut it in half width wise and placed a S/S piano type hinge at that cut, so the CB would fold in half for storing when using stove top for cooking. I utilized the existing rear hinge hardware to securely mount the CB to the range frame with 2 S/S screws. Attached a piece of the trimmed off CB to make a 1" flange in the front to match the sink edge. Cut small clear plastic bumpers (2) and attached to metal frame where the forward CB rested to eliminate any rattles. Came out very clean and functional, more importantly my wife loves it!! Photo's attached to show more detail.

That came out looking great. I'd love to do something similar, but on my 2017 29M the burner grate is raised above the level of the countertop. I think they now have a recessed cooktop to create a more flush surface, which is nice. Oh well...
You should market this! It's both functional and looks good.
Cheers!

The sensors have 3M adhesive on the back and yes, you can use existing wires for installation

control panel- motion activated light
Just sharing something small, but I really like it...
My puck light that I stuck on the inside of the control panel cabinet door came loose, dropped & cracked awhile back. Ever since, I've been looking for a better way.
I never liked having to push it on & off...I think that's what caused it to loosen over time.
I came across a motion activated LED light strip that works perfectly.
I mounted mine on the inside of the cabinet, on the bottom facing up (using gravity as my friend).
Sometimes, just opening the control panel cabinet activates the light, but if not, I just wave my hand & I have light.
I bought another motion activated light strip that I plan to add by the outlets on the back side of the bed...I plug my phone into charge there at night & it's tough to see.

I did, should be here next week. Sounds like a plan. I'll give you a couple days notice when I'm ready to get 'er done. I haven't had the nerve to take on the rear sway bar yet. You can give me some tips on that as well.

Great Idea! I always forget to turn the same self installed puck light off, battery is always dead and I have to find a flashlite to see the gauges.
Thanks for sharing!!

Bed Bath & Beyond has them.
You can find them on ebay & Amazon too.
BB&B has them for $10, but my wife gets 20% off coupons, so it gets even cheaper.

Sure thing.
I also saw slightly different version (by a different mfgr.) at Aldi's for $7 or $8, so I grabbed one of those too.
I haven't used that one yet.
Once I get a chance to install it, I can see if it's brighter/better, etc.
I plan to use that one in the back by the bed outlet.

I installed a different one in the closet but the motion of the clothes runs the batteries down early. Another installed to help the geriatric dog avoid the stairwell.
It too trips while under way at night and was removed. It was very annoying.

Good point, don't want these things turning on needlessly.
The light I got at Aldi's (Easy Home brand) can be used in Manual mode or in Motion mode. For the motion mode, it has either a 30 sec or 60 sec timeout.
The other light (Motion Brite) just seemed to be motion mode only & had a 30 sec timeout. For my control panel area, that one is perfect.
I was playing around with the Easy Home light a little last night. The manual mode requires a couple of presses of the button (High, Low & then off).
I was thinking this might be good for the bathroom at night, if I can remember to switch it from Manual mode to Motion mode before bed.
I highly doubt my ability to always remember that though!
Here are some pics of the light I got at Aldi's, in case anyone has a store close to them.
