Spousal unit is making pizza today.
She says it's the best way to get rid of the Charcuterie meat and cheeses.

So,
A 12 cheeses, 6 salami types, ham and artichoke pizza is on the horizon.
Good or bad, there'll never be an exact duplicate.

I blame Jerry.

The door handles aren’t lit on any I’ve seen. Doesn’t mean I’m not working on something. It’s clear plastic so it’s the start of something fiber optic.

Cakeman first pizza oven I’ve seen in an RV. I like it!! Do you make all those cakes in the RV?? We should camp together from now on. [emoji16]

The company that makes those lexan clear handles makes them already fitted with lights.
They're on amazon, cheap

https://www.amazon.com/ITC-86430-LED...7906322&sr=8-6
Is the replacement bulb.
It Might fit existing non-lighted handles just fine.

The company sells the entire lighted handle for as low as $60.

I considered converting a harbor freight solar motion light.
Small unobtrusive solar panel supplied with the hf light would foam tape onto the outside wall. Placed lowest left (your entering left) corner of the door it would be almost unseen. One small hole to the included battery and one small hole to the light bulb you use.
Dusk to dawn photoelectric included. Always on at dark, no coach drain.
https://www.harborfreight.com/mercha...ght-69644.html

But

Mine broke the lexan/plastic skeering me bad enough to replace the whole thing with a welded stainless steel ada bathroom assist rail.
Details here:
http://www.thorforums.com/forums/sho...&postcount=203

So

No converted hf lamp on mine.

20 bucks.

A peek inside the back of that handle where a light would go.
Lots and lots of room.
Even room for a motion detector and light sensor.
The entire curve of the neck is hollow.
The clear rod extends in only an inch.

The hf unit in the post above and about an hour should do it.

My new 'never break' handle is installed. Longer, stronger.
I'll color match some caulk for the old holes.

Thanks for the responses and info. I now have a starting point. Oh Boy ! I get to pull the dash apart again.

Just replaced the radio. I think I can get the switch panel out from below, if so it will be quick and relatively easy.

For those of us who do not have a OEM porch light on their rig, you may want to consider this light:

Good luck

Dino, did you put this on your rig? If so, how did you install it and do you have a pic? Thanks

I have to do this with mine also.
Oddly enough, it only slides open when I am driving...not when my wife is driving. Hard to explain...

Since you are from France, you may or may not have understood my movie quote. Are you familiar with the old (80's) movie named "The Coneheads", starring Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtain? If not, check it out. You will see your reference to 'spousal unit' which gave rise to my comment about 'mass quantities'. It's a funny (and a little stupid) movie,, but it is good for a few laughs. Cheers.

It had a chance to be one of the funniest bits of thread in a year, but about 200 people looked at it and no one got it.

I was really, truly, laughing out loud at your valiant try at French and you missing the reference.

It was extremely nice of you to give it a try and be so welcoming.

I am laughing aloud right now as I read this. Too funny.
