2018 Hurricane in shop since August 2020
Haven't posted in a while. Diesel pickup pulled in front of me and damaged LF corner of MH. Took collision shop 3 months to do estimate. Now parts on backorder since then. I need BU9Z-3N058-E (radiator support ?) so they can put the front fiberglass cap on and finish repairs. Ford dealers I call say that part is on backorder with no get well date. The F53 chassis has been in production for over 10 years, hard to believe at least one is not in a warehouse somewhere. Any Ford reps out there, I need help.
Mike

I would think you should/would have better luck to start your own post on this, maybe in the "Repair" section, instead of burying it in "Jerry's thread".
Other than that, could you 'request' to see the part and maybe it can be straightened or a new one manufactured? Body shops just love to replace parts.... just a thought.

Still no success. All authorized Ford suppliers list 8U9Z-3N058-B as 'on backorder". I did find one non Ford website that lists it as "Discontinued" This part should have been the same from 2009 until 2020. In 2021 the RV stripped chassis went from the V10 to a V8 engine. Not sure if the support remained the same. Appreciate everyone's help. I can not get anyone from FORD past a dealership to get in touch with me. Customer service is no help, they refer you to a Dealer. Vicious circle, no answers.

Thought about junk yards? If it was the same part for many years and one that didn’t have any wear, I’ll bet someone has one that they would send you.

Decided to do a mod. It's been a while so I figured I'd get it done before turning into a zombie after getting my second covid shot this morning
Maria is height challenged. At 5' she has been using a plastic step to get into the bed. So I decided to build two steps on her side of the bed. There is about 15" between the bed and the rear wall
I used 2x8s for the frame and 1x8 for the top. Looked at several things to top it, peel and stick tile was the plan but ended up with a rubber backed carpet mat from Costco cut to fit
Painted the faces of the two fronts with paint I had color matched from another project
Turned out good and Maria is happy with it. Now i can throw the plastic step away and know I won't trip over it again

That’s perfect. Those matts from Costco are great! I got two and need 2 more for another project.

My wife is on the door side so she has single step, 5'2", that has a handle and is movable if needed. Step not wife.

She will get to try it out in 2 weeks. We're doing a small trip taking her mom to pechanga casino to gamble. Then a week later We're off to rushmore

Oil Change
Well done my friend!
Unfortunately, Linda drives the wheels off her Jeep. I have to change her oil every couple of months!

We bought the jeep in September 2016. I filled it up today and saw the speedometer turn to 12000
So less than 3000 miles a year
