I started a new mod today but didnt finish. I installed blue led lights under the mh. They are 4" blue led marker lights i got on amazon. Three light in the rear, seven on the side, and three up front. Still need to install one more on the side and the three fronts. Got to cold laying on the cement and it started to get dark. I plan to connect the wires to the inside step light switch.
For the pics i just run a couple wires to the battery

While hooking everything up i went inside to turn the gen on for its monthly run. Dead!!!!!! Used the battery switch by drivers side to jump start house batteries. Ran for two hours and they are still dead. Checked volts at battery. 9.2 volts

I plugged the mh into my 30 amp outlet. Within 30 minutes the batteries went from 9.2 to 11.9. The batteries might be good and just needed a good charge. Ill leave it plugged in for a couple days and if they move up more closer to 13
Heres a couple pics of the completed led project
I think the front grill being lite up looks kind of cool

Your grill does look good with the lights shining thru!!! Is there an orange light under your step from the factory, I have one but it only lights up when I put pressure on the step. When I turn the step lights on the light still only comes on when there is pressure on the step, seems odd to me ???

I'll have to verify with my 2014 Hurricane - but as I recall the light comes on only when the steps are in the 'auto extend/retract' mode (ie - not out all the time - only out when door is open) - and is on as long as the steps are extended.
When steps are left out (normal position when camping) - the orange light isn't on.
Coming on only with pressure would sound like you have a loose/bad connection somewhere under that step.

The step light is controlled by the magnetic screen door switch. It doesn't matter if the step is out or not.

all this talk of lights, got me wondering if anyone else thinks the standard suite of interior lights is extremely bright unless one is looking for a needle on the floor?
Any ideas on providing some dim lighting for evening lounging, or while on the road and not bothering the driver (me)?

Dave,
Yss i have the orange light. Not sure if its comes on when the door is openned or if it stays on all the time. I can check when i get back home this weekend. I definitely do not need to step on it for it to work. I agree there might be a loose wire there

Much too bright... lol...
Added LED strip lighting - a set of warm white against the windows (top of window frame behind the cabinets shining down) and a set of RGB on the top of the slide trim facing up.
Both are dimmable - and of course the RGB can be any color.. all by remotes. DW has it set to purple this evening.

On my coach the step light (outside) will not come on if the step is locked in the out position. The light only works if the step is set to extend and retract when the door is opened or closed respectively.
