Yes, you can have the rear camera on all the time on the Garmin and it switches to the side camera when the turn signal is on, then back to the rear camera. You can also flip between the rear camera and the map at anytime. The warnings (sharp curve ahead etc) pop up too even when the camera is being displayed. I like the set up a lot.

Figured I would take a flyer- anyone been able to put the RV software into another garmin unit? I have a kenwood headunit that has garmin software. I would pay the 400 to be able to load the software....

Another day, another project. Installed a remote controlled fan in the bathroom to replace the dinky OEM fan that my wife couldn't reach. Dicor is some tough stuff, had a heck of a time getting it off. Nothing's ever easy!

9" Inch Monitor
Okay my fellow RVers, I figured out the 9" Inch Monitor installation to include turn signal camera activation. I will keep this brief, check out the attachments and if you have any questions, just ask!!

Great information Dino, thanks!!!
Did you use power from that harness to power the monitor? I know you said accessory but not sure what or where you meant. I'm thinking of pulling from the lighter plug if I can get to it, just not sure where to get power.

Dave the only problem pulling power from the lighter/acc plugs is that its connected to the coach batteries and so is the radio. So it would stay powered after parking. I want it hooked up to the ignition. The only switch that I found that is hooked up to the ignition are the two fan switches.
I was playing around with the switches and talking to Dino on the phone about the wiring for the new monitor. I can reach the fan switch from under the dash but just cant get enough leverage to get the switch to come out. The bottom clip is tight.
I'll get it out one way of another and that's where I'll get power. DIno wired his monitor to a 12v accessory plug. Unplug when not needed. If I cant get the fan switch out that's what I'll do, but its not my preferred way.
Ordering my monitor this evening.

Thanks Jerry! I don't mind having continuous power to the monitor, I'll just turn it off when I shut down. I'll look at the fan switch when I look at the lighter plug. I currently have a three outlet plug on top of the dash to power dash cam, gps, phone, and TPMS. I have to turn the box off when I shut down but like having power to program the gps. Going to have to give this some thought.
Did you order the 7" or 9" monitor, hard to believe they are the same price! I looked at monitors on Amazon (a lot cheaper) but all of them have RCA inputs for the cameras, couldn't find any with five pin connections.

Getting ready to do the chf. I've attached a couple of pictures of some lines that are in close proximity to the bar ends. Are these of any concern?
I need to learn how to rotate the pictures.

Mine look very similar, don't think it will be a problem. After you remove the links from the bar and tilt it up you should be able to see if you're going to have a problem. Be sure and do the rear to get full benefit.

You would think with all the education I have I would be FAIRLY smart, obviously not! I started the generator so I could run the AC while I was working inside the coach, after about 15 min or so the generator started surging, what now? I let the generator cool down and pulled off the side panel, no obvious problems, checked air cleaner, no problem. Put SeaFoam in the fuel tank, ran the generator about 10-15 min to get SeaFoam in to the carburetor, let sit overnight.
This morning tried again about 15 min later surging started again. Opened generator up again, still no obvious problems, so now I'm thinking about pulling the carburetor to clean it. As I was staring at the generator and dreading pulling the carb the light came on!
I had parked about 3 feet farther to the left than what I normally do. The ground slopes up on the side where the generator it, finally figured out there was not enough room under the generator and after about 15 min it's overheating!!! Dummy!!!
I guess the moral to this story is: "when all else fails, pull your head out of your ass"!!!

I think its fine. Looks like all the chf are similiar. I havent heard of any problems with lines being hit.
What i didnt like was the angle the sway bar was at so i had plates made to lower the sway bar to level.
