Does your Windy have a 50 amp input? The Hurricane I have only has a 30 amp input.

Jerry, for some reason when I replied to your PM it wouldn't let me include an attachment. Here is a pic of a marine battery switch, personally I think Perko makes the best but they are a little larger and more expensive.

I would just use standard cables, 4-6 gauge since the amp draw is not high. No offense intended about switches, many people are not aware of what they are unless they've been around boats. I've been around boats all my life, probably spent more time on boats than in RVs.

No offense here buddy. Appreiciate the help. Yeah wasnt sure if i should use 6 gauge so most likely I'll get 4 gauge.
My bigger problem is i dont know if the negative cable is long enough to reach the location where i want to mount the disconnect

Thank You! You can usually find some pretty long cables at the auto stores. 18" is fairly common, sometimes you can find 24". Some NAPA stores can make custom cables any length.

Dave,
Im talking about the original ground cable. Ill need to disconnect it from the battery and hopefully it will be long enough to reach the spot where i plan to mount the disconnect. Dont really want to replace the original cable. Its about 5' long. It will be close
Ill probabky buy an 18" cable that will attach to the disconnect and battery

Came across an interesting tip on iRV2 for lubricating the ball valve in the toilet. Turn off water and empty to bowl, smear peanut butter (smooth not chunky) on the ball and cycle a few times to lubricate. I've heard some strange tips for RVs before but never that one! Don't see any reason it wouldn't work.
The ball valve does need to be lubricated occasionally, my PREFERRED method is to use silicone grease, available where most electrical items are sold in hardware stores.
Think I'll save the peanut butter for my sandwiches!!!

Two more mods done. After installed the MaxxFan with remote in the bathroom I wanted to add an outside cover. I had a vent cover on the original fan and figured I would just switch it over to the new fan, wrong! The new fan takes a proprietary cover with clips, and it isn't cheap. Not wanting to let the cover I had go to waste I was able to make it fit by cutting two notches on each side.
A while back I installed the 5 Star tune. First tune did not install, called 5 Star and they sent a custom tune which installed easily. My Ford chassis was one that had a recall for the transmission not downshifting properly in tow mode, the tune did not correct that. I called 5 Star again and was sent another tune to correct the shifting problem. WOW, what a difference!!! Shifts are much quicker, acceleration from a stop is better and and the shifting problem has been corrected. I can't say enough good things about the customer service at 5 Star, super nice people!!! When I had problems with the download 5 Star logged in to my computer and did the download for me, they also stayed on the phone while I did the download to the coach. Needless to say I am a happy customer and extremely satisfied with the results!!!

Dino, when I was messing with my camera switch box I remembered you saying you were going to have to make adjustments to your radio. Unplug the power and trigger wires from your switchbox if you haven't already. When you shift to reverse or use the turn signals the switchbox will try to take control of your radio for video inputs. With the box unplugged that should take care of your problems, I hope!!!
Oops! I should have looked at your other post about the wiring, I see the box is out and the wires are cut. Never mind!!!
