Dave,
FYI The disconnect cable posts are 3/8". The factory and new cable i bought have 5/16" lugs. Had to drill them out a bit to fit.

2018 Windsport
Took delivery of my 2018 Windsport 31S Monday The first thing I did was install a hard wired Progressive Industries surge protector. The second thing was to install the snap pads. While under the coach I was pleasantly surprised to see no hanging wires to secure or gaps to use expanding foam. It looked like everything was properly secured. Also a interesting observation that the sway bar only has one inside hole so no CHF was needed.

This new monitor is fantastic, I wish Dino had put his on sooner, more incentive to put ours on! LOL

I think they could have used a little more padding, but over all im happy with it. Holds all the stuff in ine pkace so it can all be stored together.

ps I installed a battery disconnect switch in the battery compartment today. Got tired of the parasitic power draw.
Also could not find a grommet I liked for the new monitor so I just used wire loom.

That's cheeper than I pay State Farm $825 a year for a 2012 ace...and I have my home and all my cars....in ga.i would think California would be more? I did a online class when I bought mine with good Sams ant it said $915. Wonder why mine was so much higher then yours and yours is new and more expensive unit? I need to do some shopping myself

I just asked Myra about our insurance, since she pays the bills. With Geico our insurance is roughly $45 a month. Every state and location is different since not all carriers work in every state. We pay a lot more here in Texas than we did in Indiana on our vehicles, especially my motorcycle.

When we bought our ACE 27.1 in April we got a quote from State Farm since they insure our house and all our other vehicles. Hands down they were the highest by several hundred dollars. We insured with Good Sam (General) and also moved my toad from State Farm to GS since it was cheaper and there would only be a single deductible to worry about in case both were involved in an accident while towing.

Inquiring Minds Want To Know
I've been watching with interest the posts about adding the additional monitor but there are some points either I have missed or are not clear to me in my situation:
Are you replacing the Thor provided, triggered switch box with the monitor, or leaving it in place and routing the output RCA to the monitor?
If replacing the box, how are the 3 cameras attached to the monitor? For that matter, how are they attached to your Silver switch box? I have the black switch box and the camera leads have a proprietary multi-pin connection, not a standard RCA.
And exactly which monitor have you been using. I see they have several
I thank you for the clarification although my DW may not.

Kev, I'm picking up 2018 ACE 29.3 on 7/10. Planning on alignment, safe t plus, rear trac bar and CHF...so you are saying there are no longer 2 extra, total of 4 holes, where factory sway bar mounts on your unit? Hmmm wonder if mine will be the same

The monitor comes with a wire harness. Harness camera wiring is the same 5 pin connector as the cameras. Just plug in. Same with the power, ground, and trigger wires. Just use butt connecters. You might need a volt meter to determine which wire controls what. It will depend on which wire harness thor used. My stock splitter is out of the mh. Once the monitor is in the splitter is no longer needed. If you have more wuestions just ask.
