When the old sofa comes out you will see a black rubber bumper on the face of the slide platform. Pretty ugly. Several of us removed it and put a wood rail there. Makes it look much better.

Just out of curiosity how hard was the old one to get out. I am ordering the RecPro 67 today and the guy that is going to install was asking.
Thank you,
Paul

Hi Dino,
I'm afraid those videos in my post aren't mine and I don't even know how they got in my post. But I do like the power cord reels that are shown in them.

Fairly easy. It disassembles into several pieces.

Relocating microwave 2018 four winds 22E
Hopefully the forum cops won't hunt me down for posting this here. I'm not sure where to ask this question. Seeings how the microwaves are always 8' high (I swear they are) I m a shorty and cannot see into them. I would like to get a convection microwave and put it under the range. There is a cabinet there that might accommodate it with some modification, to facilitate heat, etc. I would then use the wall cabinet for storage. Oh, yeah, while I'm at it I'd love to take out range and put in 2, yep 2, induction burners.

Actually Thor is doing that in the 2018 Axis. Enough short people must have complained.

That was me. I don't know how they got there either. I was trying to post a video of the cord reel I made for our new hurricane. i think the video was unsupported format. I will try again.

Would love to see this video but can't. any hints on what I'm doing wrong.
going a 3 month trip to SanFran and back & would love to see if I could in stall these before we leave. I am so worried about crossing the open planes during tornado season!

If you want to worry, I suggest you worry about thunderstorm microburst and hail than tornadoes. I have spent more time in campground bathrooms and rec centers, with other campers, dogs, cats and kids than I care count and never had a tornado within 30 miles. Make sure your cell phone has the GPS enabled and a good weather app open. A dedicated weather radio when you are parked is a must. Most class As will withstand a 100+ mph head or tail wind and 70 mph from the sides. Just remember when the wind gets up - slides in and jacks up. RVing is always an adventure.

Along the lines of blowing doors, does anyone have an improvement for the main coach door? Mine opens 90 degrees and held with a simple, single gas strut. I can't leave it open in a stiff breeze. I long for the old camper door that opened nearly 180 degrees and held open with a spring latch.

Just remove the gas strut and install a latch on the door and side of mh. i think someone recently posted doing this a couple weeks ago. Try reading up a couple pages

Camping World
Hello,
Has anyone had a good experience with Camping World? So far the delivery of our unit was a challenge and now they have had it for nearly 4 months to do simple warranty work. I went to inspect it yesterday and they caused more problems than they fixed. We heard stories but WOW, if this in the norm in the industry we may need to get out.
Looking forward to hearing from you

Here is a thread with some details.
Coach Entry Door Strut Connection
We did exactly what you suggested and are very happy with the results. Some campers may not have the same awning that we do (no vertical arms to get in the way) so this was an easy fix.

Camping World is not the norm, avoid them at all cost.

Ive been thinking about doing this also. I removed the gas shock before but put it back on. What I dont like about the shock is the force it has to open the door. If you dont have a good grip on the door is slams it open. Im afraid this will damage the door if it happens to often. Normally happens when friends open the door. Maria and I are use to it and are careful.
I havent had a problem with the door closing in the wind. I would think if its that windy out I would have the door closed anyways.
