I appreciate it, Dave. I was able to get my hand and the impact wr up in there, loosened up the lower nut (it's on a z-bracket, as well), and then I was able to break the rods loose. Once that was done, everything else was super easy. I wish the front sway bar had moved that easily!
Made me think of working on cars with my dad. Good memories -- and a sense of accomplishment. Thanks for the inspiration go out to you, Jerry, Dino and many others who've contributed!

Did you also get a spare set of straps? You should consider those as "consumables" as they wear out pretty quickly.

Jerry,
I had the same issue last year coming back from Yellowstone. We were almost home, coming down the I-70 into Denver. We were in tow/haul mode and the engine had been screaming all the way up to the tunnels and down at 4200+ RPM, but keeping our speed comfortable without having to use the brakes much. At the “Truckers you aren’t down yet” sign we picked up a check engine light, which stayed on all the rest of the way home. I have an Automatic OBDC module and it said engine misfire. I cleared the error and haven’t seen it since.
We go to Rocky Mountain National Park on Sunday for a week, so we will see how it goes. Grades into Rocky aren’t bad though, just the one drop into Estes Park.We won’t be taking the coach over Trail Ridge Road either.

Always happy to help, glad you got the job done! You might want to check the sway bar mounting bolts, two of mine were loose. Jerry took his sway bars loose and lubricated the bushings, I haven’t done this but it’s on my list of things to do. You’re going to be glad you did the CHF, makes a BIG difference in how the coach drives and handles passing semi’s. Now, go out and have FUN!!!

What the heck! Are those Sumo? Looks like some glue came loose (?) Any sounds that let you know something was wrong? I hope it didn't effect your trip back home.

They changed the design early this year to a 2 part design, probably because of issues like Jerry experienced. I think they owe him a new set, and maybe some installation credit.

I dont need installation credit because my time isnt worth anything
BUT I do want the new sumos. Hopefully they are a stand up company and do the right thing by sending me the new system.
Ill let you guys know what happens after I talk to them tomorrow

The same goes to you! Already saw a fun small-town parade this morning, now back for some hot dogs for a light lunch before flat top burgers later this evening. And who knows, maybe some good local beer!
This is a great time to be with family and friends and we are blessed to live in this country.
Happy Independence Day, everyone!

halfprice, Other than the obvious how did the Sumo's help? I am considering them for my 29M to see if they smooth out the ride and help with handling. I was thinking about trying them on just the front first. Hopefully they will not raise the front because as you know the rear already sits pretty low. Sometimes I hold my breath when I see railroad crossings ahead. I already did the CHF and added Safe-T-Plus. Thanks in advance.
