I use the flow rite qwik fill system. It works great. I've had it for three years, no problem at all. It definitely makes keeping the batteries topped off so much easier. I ordered it through amazon.

toad towing
I'm trying to order a Blue Ox tow bar and brake system.
I emailed them and asked what I need for towing, braking and lights. It's like pulling teeth to get a package together.
1st it was here's the bar Oh you need brakes? , Now I'm asking again about lights/ battery etc. Why can't these guys say to do this you need this

I went with Blue Ox and haven't had a problem. I used Hitchsource & called them...they walked me through what I needed.
They also had pretty low pricing.

That's who I went with. Nice follow helped me out and about 500 less than the blues price.
Now I'll look for the push pin clip tool so I don't destroy the pins.

I'm not sure what the push pin clip tool is....are you talking about the wiring harness?
The blue 7 to 6 pin connections are pretty easy to do by hand on my set up.

The push pin tool is for removing the plastic clips that hold these cars together. The pins are flat on the surface and you push them thru a hole where the fingers on the pin expand and hold the pieces together. In the old days we used bolts now it's all plastic. Another 10 years and we'll be able to drive a car thru the metal detectors and it won't trigger the alarm

Once again, it looks like a winged wire connector loosen and created an arc in the box which fried the connection of the generator and the ATS. Went to Lowes to get another junction box and parts. While there I asked if I could use butt connectors instead of using winged wire connectors and was told that would work too so that is what I did. New (4 months) 2018 29M
Spent the day checking out a bunch of the things I have picked up from on this site.
Overall it was better than I was expecting:
- not holes or openings to have to seal up.
- I was able to access the shower base and inset another floor support.
- CHF is done front and back (what a difference)
The main surprise was the genny junction box. Mine is in a plastic box with the connections all taped up. Didn't have time to check under the tape as it was getting dark. Will do that tomorrow.
Main issue was that there was NO cover on the junction box. (see pic attached). Any insights or suggestions.

Every time I see something like this It makes me wonder how these things hold together as well as they do. The "Crapmanship" is amazing. They don't even clean up after themselves. I realize they are probably making just above minimum wage but my work ethic was better than this when I was raking leaves for $.50 and hour in my teens.

You are fortunate, they went the extra mile on yours and used tape on the connections!

its a common box found at home depot or lowes. They have the covers for the boxes
Check the wires where it goes into the conduit. The insulation was cut on mine

I'm not worried about the cover as I can pick one up easy enough. Need to pull the tape off and check the connections first.
Thanks for heads up on checking the insulation for cuts.

Nautilus RV Retractable Shower Curtain Mod
Another mod bites the dust! I just installed the Nautilus 64"X36" Retractable Shower Curtain by Stoett Industries. Gone is the 3-panel glass shower door. The installation was easy and took about 30 minutes to complete. Pic 1 is the shower stall after the glass door was removed. Pics 2-4 is the new shower curtain/door after installation.
