I bought a progressive industries hard wired surge protector/electrical management system

Had to disconnect the shore power wiring going into the transfer switch. This wire hoked into in incoming side of the unit. Ran 10 guage from the out going side into the transfer switch

This puts the prorector in line from the shore power to the transfer switch

Ran the display meter cable behind the fuse/breaker box and up just above. Cant see the cable which is nice

Ill take a black magic marker to cover the bolt and washer

I called Progressive Industries and this is how they recommend to do the install. They said the generators power does not fluctuate like shore power so its not needed.

Thats funny they say its not needed but they include it in their instructions and as far as the generator fluctuating it could happen

Dino, great minds think alike! I mounted a wide angle ski mirror with a suction cup so I could watch when my wife is up moving around and talk with her when she's sitting at the dinette. I have been thinking about a thermometer but was going to place the sensor in with the propane tank to get a good outside air temp.

One thing I did add was a strap to pull the desk open. I used 3/4 nylon strap, sewed a loop in the end, used the lower right screw when desk is open to attach the other end, also used a small flat washer to make it more secure. Wife had a hard time opening and closing the desk since she is kinda vertically challenged!

Need to get my Scan Gauge and dash cam mounted next.

I have the Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C Portable Electrical Management System - 50 Amp

Bought if cause the price was right and the reviews both online and on Youtube were outstanding. Simple install for the Windsport under the King bed too!!

As a former School Bus Driver I used my "student" mirror religiously to monitor my students when the bus was in motion. I did not want them to get hurt if they were standing up (which they were not suppose to do) while the bus was in motion or if I had to stop suddenly!

Placing the wide angle mirror gives me the opportunity to see my better half if she is out of her co-pilot seat while the rig is in motion!!

Dino and Jerry, the one who dies with the most add-ons wins!!! Lmao. Jerry, there is a you-tube series called car cam central who does great reviews on cams, based on their reviews I bought a Yi dash cam, like the control app it has for my iPhone.

Dino thanks for the Progressive info, haven't had time to research yet but will probably go with your recommendation!

Wife doesn't need a clock, since she thinks that's what I'm for, know she wouldn't use the gps even though I have two. Do like the soap dispenser, had seen them before but never really thought about them. Thanks for the sofa cover link, guess I'll order one of those too!

Jerry, got to tell something funny. It's early in the morning here, just starting on my first cup of coffee, brain not full engaged yet. When I first read your post I read it as "Glock in the vent." I thought why does his wife want to carry a gun in the vent? I had to go back and look at Dino's picture again and see it was a "clock." Like I said, brain not full engaged yet!!! Oh well, old age!

For my case, it's me and the dog alone, and I never leave the steering wheel when the unit is in motion!
