enjoying post

Purchased a certified preowned Windsport 27K in August and am enjoying the updates and pics you have been posting, have a few of my own to share. The best so far was the front and rear wheel alignment and high speed tire balance now I can drive without fighting it. CHF done yesterday leaving in 2 weeks will see how it is, small trip from truck shop it is very tight and a lot less roll

Jerry, got to tell something funny. It's early in the morning here, just starting on my first cup of coffee, brain not full engaged yet. When I first read your post I read it as "Glock in the vent." I thought why does his wife want to carry a gun in the vent? I had to go back and look at Dino's picture again and see it was a "clock." Like I said, brain not full engaged yet!!! Oh well, old age!
Lol
Usually i have my glock or s&w on my hip but when driving it sits on the engine hump

Im planning on building a wood storage rack similiar to a magazine rack and plan on placing it to the left of the drivers seat. This will hold glasses phone charges gun and anything else ill need while driving but what i want out of the way and to keep tge clutter down. Im kind of ocd and hate stuff all over the place. I live by "a place for everything and everything in its place"

When we had our Tuscany I bought two wall mount magazine racks like you're talking about, I mounted one next to drivers seat, and one next to the toilet. The wall covering Thor uses is pretty tough, I used 3M weather strip tape for mounting the racks and never had one come loose.

I carry my Glock when we travel but prefer to keep it out of sight, I keep it in the hidey hole behind the bedroom tv.

SEA Teak makes several different mounts for boats, I found this one was just right for me. I mounted it to my left on the wall, along with a magazine rack just below for maps and coach stuff. Used self tapping screws to mount.

Thor, or whoever was responsible, decided that the drivers side of my Hurricane does not need any kind of armrest/cup holder, etc.
I recently remodeled my motorhome to better suit my lifestyle and decided to ad such a cup holder/device carrier.
A part of the top is covered with plexiglass to allow me to fasten any kind of suction cup holder (the one attached is for my TPMS).
A cabinet door in the bottom provides access to the electrical connections, and has small bins inside to stow away smaller items otherwise flying around on the dash.

Nice job. Very ergonomic. Sure wish the coach designers were experienced RV'ers and could do nice layouts like you did.

Looks pretty good to me. Fairly even. I have been told the driver front is always heavy do to the steering and other motor stuff on that side.

I have almost 1000lbs of play before hitting my max.

Alignment on Wednesday then road trip.

I know its been a while, but do you remember if this was a relatively lightly loaded coach, or close to your normal use configuration (fuel, water, etc.)?

Recommended Tire Pressures

Don, not Jerry here but in response to your tire pressure query, try the following url. It is tire pressure data provided by Michelin and should be sufficient for your needs.

Michelin RV Tires | View Michelin RV Tires load and inflation tables for motorhomes and recreational vehicles. | Michelin RV Tires

It was a little light. Full tank of gas half tank or so of water. I never fill the water while driving. Almost all our clothes and no food in the fridge. No wife and no dogs. I figured another 500 lbs for the food and all the dog pens extra charcoal for the bbq etc

Before my next trip i think ill weigh it again fully loaded with the jeep hooked up

We are down to only the 7 lb yorkie now so not having the big lab takes about 130-150 lbs off

Jerry

Interesting, it struck my attention because I have a 34F and weighed it at 17,040 lb.

It was in a very lean condition, 1/4 gas, 0 water, 2/3 propane, minimal gear, and no passengers.

Regarding tire pressures, are the monitoring systems calibrated, or do you need to calibrate them for accurate PSI readings?

New MaxxAir Vents

Hello fellow RVers! I made yet another Mod to our 2017 Windsport 29M. I replaced the Living Room non-powered vent and the Bathroom powered vent with the MAXXAIR VENT Fan/Vent Model 4500K W/Remote. Camping World did the install. The Bathroom vent fan was installed properly but the Living Room vent fan was wired to the ceiling lights which I will change later.

Dino, VERY cool!!! No pun intended! Plan on changing our bathroom vent with a remote model, will have to warm up first, probably a spring project. You need to think about adding covers for bad weather use. I added cover to front vent, have cover for bathroom but will wait till I change the fan to install.
