Two thumbscrews, 5 seconds adrift the dash cover is off. No tools needed.

Another fix

(2018 Windsport 29M) I removed the nuts holding the display and tilted it back just enough so that I could put an led strip (sticky back - purchased from Amazon) inside the plastic lens on the top plastic lip. Then I installed a rocker switch (Amazon) in one of the (two) empty ports, next to the fog light switch. I tapped into a power source and hooked it up. (See youtube for 5 pin rocker switch connections.) Works great...I can see!

@Redbeard- Would you post a photo, I don't understand where you put the LED strip? TIA

If I can just change some led light bulbs so I can read the speedometer etc. on a bright day I will be happy.

I understand your problem. I already had a Scan Gauge 2 and just hooked it up. Works good.
