Driver Side Cab Storage?

Question is sort of Windsport specific, but all F53 cabs seem (from what I've seen anyway) to have a very similar layout.

Has anyone found (or created) a mod/accessory to provide a little extra storage to the left of the driver's seat? Co-pilot may not always be available to find and hand things to driver. Thinking of things like sunglasses, CD's, notepad, maybe a good book when using cruise control , things of that nature.

Is there something that might utilize the cup holder for attachment and provide a box-like structure, or perhaps some hanging pockets?

Leads and pointers appreciated!

Yep, check Jerry's Hurricane Mods thread for several solutions for a little side cubby.

I used these from Amazon for both driver and passenger sides.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They are not in stock but there are others that are very similar.

And while you're up: would you mind making me a sandwich?

that is the place where I put by subwoofer, but you could easily put something on the order of a bathroom type magazine rack or if you are good a woodworking make yourself a cabinet or glove box. Now that you've got me thinking, I may add some storage there myself for things like sun glasses and all the other stuff that accumulates in the compartment on the dog house.

I have a couple of small bins with rubber feet next to and beind my seat and next to my wife seat. They stay in place and you can slide them out easy for access.

I also used double sided sticky tape to hold a wooden magazine rack (From Target - around $12 - brown color - looks nice) on the floor but against the wall on the drivers side.

I also put two little mesh pockets on each side of cockpit (below side windows. They hold the cell phones and other nick nacks. See picture below.

I mounted the cup holder on wood then attached bathroom hooks (used for towels or robes) and it hangs off the window tracks. My DW didn't want me to put hole in the wall. You can also do the same, but mount a small storage box to hold your items.

Might as well get it yourself, if you're going to read a book while driving...[emoji15]
