Searched around to see what EMS to get, and settled on Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C, primarily because of the life time warranty, and because it's made in the USA. The only thing I did not like about the unit is the display panel. They should offer a flush mounted one as well, so before the installation, I decided to modify the panel, and make it more useful. Attached are instructions, parts in PDF and pictures.
If you are interested in making this modification, message me for panel designs.
Nicely done. Good write-up.
I mounted my HW30 unit in the back of the electrical access compartment. I can see the read-out thru the power cable cover to check each time I plug in.
Your installation looks very professional.
I regret not buying the remote mount when I installed mine....but the expense of buying it now has never floated to the top of my list. Your design is much better for sure.
It is a pain to have to pen the bed any time I need or want to see the display. Fortunately that's not very often.
