Leveling made easy?

Sigh... opening wallet...

Has anyone heard of the "LevelMatePRO"? If so has anyone used it?

Watch these videos, it looks really slick:

First time I've seen such a thing. It looks really useful but for $140 (Here it is on Amazon) it is a bit pricey (have to admit, though, even adding that to what we paid for the scissor jacks its still far cheaper than power jacks).

A dollar's worth of bubble levels mounted in the cab provide a similar idea of heights needed, though no where near as precise, a little practice and a touch of luck can make for a one shot ordeal

Pretty cool gadget! Useful time saving device I'd say.

Yes! We love it! We pull into a spot, check the basics in the app,get into the best "level" we can be then deploy the jacks....the Lippert system only reads so much...and we "knock on wood" have never had slide issues or drainage issues, etc. We never auto level....always manual because quicker and less bouncing.

Sounds like it should work well most of the time, although I'm curious how the software would take into account suspension compression when starting out on very uneven terrain.

I doubt it does. It probably just does the basic trig function to get the heights at each corner ( distance*sin(angle) ). If it does compensate for compression it is probably a fixed constant (as you'd have to have different calculations based on the different RVs).

I do have to point out that there are a bunch of RV Level apps in both App Stores (Apple, Google). Here is an Android one for example. These apps require you to lay the phone/tablet down on a flat area of the coach just like you would a level (and they do the same calculations that the LevelMatePRO does--its just that the LevelMatePRO separates the level from the readout). I've tried one of them, but my phone's camera extends out from the case so it doesn't lay flat

Hmm here is another application of the same sort of thing: The Android app and the sensor that goes with it--doesn't look as slick as the LevelMatePRO though (it does talk to you ! however).

Well I bit the bucket and picked one up--darn you Amazon for being so easy to buy stuff on LOL.

Install went easy but it turns out that our storage lot is really not level at all (even using all my lynx levelers I couldn't get the RV level) so calibration will have to wait until I'm somewhere flatter. I figured once I get it calibrated I'll be able to tell how far nose down the Axis rests (e.g. find a level parking lot and see what the LMP reads). I'm guessing its quite a bit (2" or 3").

Ever try one of these, seems like it would work fairly well. $40 on Amazon.

Yup that is what I use now. Throw it on the floor and the four outside LEDs blink red/solid green. The faster the red blink the more out of level that end is. I usually end up picking up the low end until it shows green to estimate how high I have to raise that side--its still just a guesstimate as you have to extrapolate the 1/4" lift at the level out to the wheel.

I have something like that as well, but it requires you to set the phone down in the camper.

The attraction (to me at least) of the LavelMatePro is that it detaches the sensor from the display, and that the display is mobile (you can walk around the RV with your phone in your hand, or drive around until you find a spot level enough).
