Linoleum on the walls?

Our pup eats and drinks very sloppily. We’ve designated a small area for his food center. I want to protect the wall from slobber and water splashes.

I’m thinking about attaching a piece of linoleum to the wall but I don’t want to nail / screw it to the wall. I want to “glue” it but don’t want the adhesive to be permanent and I don’t want it to damage the wallpaper when / if we remove it down the road...

I think I saw somewhere where they attached things to the wall with watered down liquid starch.

Has any one attached “sheet material” to their RV walls? How did you do it and how did it fare?

Thanks folks!

Only thing I can tell you is if you use the "self-stick" tiles don't count on the attached glue to hold it to the wall; it barely holds it to the floor.

Use those pull tabs they mount pictures with.
You know the ones.
Or
Silicone caulk.
Or
Spray with Never Wet hydrophobic spray. It's oleophobic also.
Or
Put a large rock in the dog's bowl so he has to slow down the chow down.

Use Command strips to hold 2-3 pieces of the 12" square linoleum tiles to the wall, easily removed later.
Would not recommend silicone caulk!!

I think I would look for some old fashioned vinyl wall paper if I could find something I liked.

Command strips!
I can never ememeber the name.
That's the pull tab thingies I was typing about.

And

Those 12 inch 99 cents selfstick tiles make EXCELLENT bug catchers like fly paper.
Put one, cut to a size you like, under the cabinets or wherever, sticky side up. Bugs love them...one time.
