Looking for Replacement for Axxera Radio

We are looking for a replacement for the Axxera Radio in our Vegas, that will support all three cameras - one rear and one on each of the side mirrors.
Has anyone found a good replacement?

From the other thread where you asked the same question.

I'm reading the specs on the Kenwood - if the three cameras go through a multiplexer box, the Kenwood Excelon 595 will likely work as a replacement.
I will be interested to hear of other replacements for the Axxera and what was used.

I replaced mine with a Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX.

I just added a dedicated screen for the cameras. I then disabled the wire that activates the cameras on the radio. I can still go to the cameras on the radio if I press it manually, it just does not activated during backup or turn signal. My dedicated screen shows backup by default all the time so I can see my toad. When I turn a blinker on it then changes my dedicated monitor to the side camera. This also avoids the interruption in audio as well

You mentioned that the image is much better - did you keep your original cameras?

Yes, my Jensen’s problem was that the image was very washed out and there were no video adjustments. The Kenwood let me add contrast and adjust the viewing angle. Unrelated to that, I like the simple controls and the low cost.

As a side note to this discussion...
Not sure we're ready to replace the Axxera in our Windsport just yet - but has anyone else compared AM/FM radio reception to alternatives?
Granted we have a (new) "stubby" antenna on the roof, but we're getting the crappiest radio reception we've seen from any system. You might think that an antenna 12' off the ground would get decent coverage - but in our case, you'd be wrong.
Do we possibly have an antenna connection bad into the receiver, or do other folks have the same observation?

My coach is the ACE version of yours and yes, reception is terrible. I did upgrade the rubber ducky antenna to a screw on replacement from Amazon and it helped: but nowhere as good as it should be.

Generally I just listen to my Jimmy Buffet channel on Pandora through the radio on Bluetooth.

Was it an exact size fit in the hole already in the dash?

Could you please detail how you did this? I'm thinking about the same thing.

Monitor came with all cables and feet and 2-sided sticky tape and sits to left of dash, easy to view while driving. Very simple and works well!

Total cost under $100.
Lotsa other posts on doing this, especially in Jerry's Mods thread.

There is an upgrade to the Avvera radios that will keep the radio on during turns and also switch back to rear camera
Product Firmware Updates

I did this update last year and while it returns the screen to the rear camera after a turn, the radio volume still is turned off when the turn signal is engaged.

I have a Four Winds 31W, class C. Also with the same brand of radio. Just in case anyone needs to know what the camera box looks like, this is what I have behind the dash. And I bet Thor uses the same box in many RV's

You may find an old thread about the rear view safety, quad view monitor.
Thats what I did. I added a new monitor, and spliced into the camera junction box, basically plug and play except trigger wire which were pretty easy. then you can set it up to display 1,2,3,or 4 cameras by default then it switches to the other camera when triggered. I leave my showing all three for quick Pre lane Change, then when you use the signals or shift into reverse it gives you a single view with a full 10 inch screen.

The most important thing is you set it up to face you, instaed of trying to bend down and see that stupid dash mount,

So it turns out they did not update the release notes from the last update that returned the to the rear camera after using the turn signals. However, they did release updated firmware that now fixes the audio turning off when the turn signal mirrors are activated!

Just did the update and the audio works when the turn signal cameras are activated and it still returns to the rear camera once the turn signals are off.
