Microwave Convection Oven Upgrade

I do not like the oven in my FE29 as it really is not useful. I am considering replacing the microwave with a microwave/convection to provide better cooking experience. I am looking for suggestions and critiques for those that have this appliance or have considered this.
FYI: I will be taking the current range oven out and replacing with a range and add a new cabinet where the oven used to be.

My last two RV's have had convection/microwaves. Like the convection very much. Both have been 30 inch models though. Have cooked a turkey in them on two occasions. My current RV has an induction cooktop as well as two gas burners. The induction is also handy, although I had to change my pots and pans. (They needed to be anyway). Good luck and show us pictures after.

We've also got a convection microwave in ours...
It makes the Missus nervous; but she does like it!

Our 2016 PD31 came with a microwave so, at my wife's request, I replaced it with a convection/microwave. Had to relocate the wall mount bar which was no big deal. Top mount bar attaches to the cabinets on either side and, as Thor doesn't take the time to drill pilot holes, the wood was split so I had to do a few modifications. As the new oven is about twice as heavy as the old one I felt that these connection points were critical to preventing the new oven from landing on the stove top as we bounced down the road! We've driven about 10,000 miles since with no problems.

My wife is a fan of the regular oven, so no help here.

We are happy with the combo oven in our 31W. And the induction propane combo range.

I'm such a strong traditionalist...I chose the Thor Super C over the Dynamax Super C for several reasons...one being, it has the gas oven as well as the convection/microwave. I also still keep a Sear Catalogue on the bathroom floor. I hope someday to attend a rally where someone holds a class on convection oven cooking. I just can't get my arms around "cooking" anything in a microwave. Ain't nothin' gonna cook up a skillet of cornbread better than a gas oven!!

Is your microwave located in the upper cabinets?
If it is: how concerned are you over the possibility of dumping something on you that is REALLY hot?
(In the new rig: it's under the cook-top, and my Missus is much happier...)

When you use the conv/micro in convection mode it is more like a real oven in that it heats the food by making the inside of the oven hot instead of the micro mode (which wiggles the water molecules to make the inside of the food hot).

As far as I know it's just an electric heater. In combo mode it also turns on the microwave rays but I haven't tried that yet.

We tend to cook things that go in liquid and come out solid.

Mounted over the range as in a vent hood location. My wife uses the smoke alarm as a cooking timer.

What model of micro/convection did you get? I'm cooking a turkey roll for Christmas.

GE profile advantium.

Cooks brownies to perfection in 8 minutes.

Halogen light cooking makes a perfectly browned pizza from frozen to perfect in 12 minutes.

It combines the microwave and halogen at the same time for microwave fast, perfectly baked and browned. Cooked from inside and outside at the same time.

.(we don't cook in the RV. These are the home microwaves we have. If we did need anything but a simple microwave in our 24.1, an advantium would be our only choice.)
