Heat distribution

I have a 2018 Thor Gemini 24TX. I'm convinced that the designers of this coach have never owned an RV. The location of things just baffles the heck out of me. For instance, the direct furnace, non ducted, is located directly across from the bathroom door, nearest to the floor. No provision for directional control other than straight out. Would it be okay to replace the front grill with a 4 way directional grille?

Maybe this reply will bump up your question. RV designers have a big challenge fitting most of your home features into a little mobile box.

A picture would really help here, but it seems logical that changing the grill shouldn't cause a problem.

Sounds like a great idea. Can’t hurt to give it a shot. Let us know how it works out.

I have a 2017 TX, and furnace is located in the same place as yours. It does distribute heat, some, but putting directional vents on certainly would not hurt anything. We actually hardly ever use that furnace, I put a fan (very quiet) driven electric heater between the front seats, which distributes heat throughout the interior, at least it will into the mid-twenties. Could be in really cold weather, under 20 degrees and colder it might not, but we are rarely, if ever in temps that cold. When its in the 30's the two AC/Heat pumps work quite well too.

Good answer from Laco. We rarely use the furnace, instead mostly relying on a ceramic heater. That way, we are using the campground's electricity rather than the LP gas I have to buy. Haven't yet been too cold for the little ceramic, but then we stay south in the cooler months.
