Moving the kitchen sink P-trap on the Quantum JM31

The Quantum JM31 kitchen sink drain was poorly designed with the P-trap mounted directly under the sink and no slope on the output pipe. As a result, there is always water visible in the sink drain. We modified the drain to relocated the P-trap and the air admittance valve. We documented the project with a PDF file so other's could take advantage of our experience. If interested download the following PDF.

The pictures are a great tool to look at in your project. Thanks for sharing them.

Great write up, our Daybreak 30DB also has this same issue and our under sink plumbing looks similar. I was looking at ways to improve it and moving the P-trap further down the line looks like a great idea! Thanks.

It is surprising how many folks seem to have the same issue.
