The very first thing I did, was to remove all the Easter egg stripes,.. it's a personal thing for me... I hate the sticker stripes, they don't last in the desert sun, if you leave them on too long they with cause ghosting on the gel coat,.. real happy with the quality of the gel coat walls... super smooth and shiny,

they are real easy to remove... you just use your finger nail to get under the stripe and start pulling.... we had all of them off in about an hour...not saying that anybody else should do this,... if you don't like the look don't do it... but here's a few pics so you can see what it looks like with out the stripes, next, we headed to discount tire in Vegas… I had already ordered the tires and wheels, as it's the same ones I put on all my e450 chassis... the rims are moto metal aluminum , with 235-85-16 tires,... I always go to this bigger tire, multiple reasons... one, I think the stock 225-75-16's are way too small, the load rating is maxed out, they make the motor spin too high of rpms and they suck fuel...I cruise 65 mph down the freeway at only 1700 rpms, and the down shift puts me about 2300 rpms, and the down to 4th.. right at 3200 rpms, 3200 is the max torque spot for the V10...

the tires are bolt on with no other mods

next mod was the AC,,, I won't go into detail on this as there are numerous threads on the AC mods...I do mine a little different, besides the normal mods,
I find that the stock grilles are too noisey and too restrictive..so what I do is get rid of the plastic little round ac griles and the chill grille... chill grille got my coach down to about 90 something in the vegas heat... so I block off the service (cold air) and seal it so all the air comes out the reg.s next I open up the return air to twice the size... DB's drop and unit gets way cooler...I put residential metal reg.s and return grille, with all the mods, I have seen 44 degrees coming out of the register, and it's super quiet.. I can set the thermostat @ 75, and it will cycle off when set on automatic

Just so you know, I had to drag my wife out of our Alpine DP,it was a super nice coach that I did a total custom interior upgrade, floors walls and a lot of custom tile work... needless to say .. she was not happy... but.. we found that every thing that we needed fit some where in the 24.1... but, clothes... wife has to take so much clothes in the closet... small..there are two drawers for clothes,,one for me right... not.. there wasn't enough drawers in the galley, so one had to be used for cooking utensils... you guessed it .. the one that was mine..we used the cabinettes above the bed with bins to put folding clothes,,,but still needed more closet space.. so in the out side box, I added a clothes hanger, I bought a section of the closet wire rack from home depot cut it to fit and screwed it to the ceiling,.. we now have a camp side closet for jackets and such for those chilly nights setting out..... to say I'm walking on eggshells is a way understatement...wife doesn't like this coach compared to the Alpine,. but here's the problem.. use it or lose it !!! when only put 400 miles on the alpine in over a year... so bye bye alpine.. the consession was I had to build a new vacation house in havasu, they just finished the drywall , so it's close to done.. we also have a born free built for two, we put 20,000 miles on it...but.. wife didn't want it as our only coach as it only has the jack bed sofa for sleeping... so, with tears in my eyes,..it's going down the raod next...

the next uncomfortable thing for us... the sofa.. and this was one of my wifes wants..she wants a sofa that she can lay on going down the road... and she doesn't want to sleep in the back.. but like they say... Happy Wife.. happy life.... right . we really don't need the fold out bed. and the sofa was really un comfortable.. and no foot rests. the ottoman idea got vetoed by upper management, not really enough room to have stuff on the floor... so we bought this reclining sofa... I'm not totally happy with the results,.. heres what you are up against... first , the sofa sets on the raised part of the slide out... sofas need to be about 18'' off the floor max... when you put a residential sofa... it's oner 20'', make you feel like you are in a barber chair... but , it gets you closer to eye level with people sitting in the captains chairs... that's a real like for us the usability of the front part on the RUV when parked compaired to class C's

One of the must haves for us... a big bed...though this coach came with twins, and cushions to mak a over sized king... one nap in the coach and it's done..so what I did was, take all the cushions out, cut a piece of plywood , filled the hole... the bought a king size mattress... it fits right in there.. it's 75 x84 I think,... I'm bush high...5'9"...wife 5'2'' so we are able to sleep north south.. on the 75'' way,.. but for you tree top lovers,6' and above, if you sleep the other way it's about 88''.. cool thing is standard king sheets fit, so no over priced custom size sheets

I replaced our uncomfortable couch with Shop4seats Monaco Double recliners. So far the best thing about them is the storage spot in between the recliners.

Have you done anything to the gelcoat after removing the decals to prevent it from fading? After 4 years there are several spots on ours (especially above the cab) that have started to fade/get chalky. At some point I'm going to get the top of the cab painted (probably white).

then back to the scales..
steer axel … 4280 lbs drive axel...7920 lbs 7060 trailer...gross...19,260 lbs..so about 2780 under weight

another mod, we didn't have a 120v plug where we put our coffee pot and crock pot,and the lift up extension goes right out in the front door opening... so I added a plug on the counter top...
I also turned the cabinet handle so it doubles as a hand towel rack...

I don't know if all the ruv 24.1 are like this, or just ours, but, they mounted the tv pushed to the cabinet on the right,.. sitting on the sofa it cut off part of the picture... so I moved it 3'' to the left..

You can lay on the Monaco Double recliners: It was the only one I could find that left a center seating position--I wanted to still have 3 belted positions on the couch.

The same Monaco set up worked in our 2016 24.1 Axis. Very happy with it for the price. Glad yours worked out.
