Need to replace the feet on the Lippert levelers...

I bought the recommended (by the manufacturer) SNAP PADS for my 2017 Thor Outlaw 38RE. I tried to install them on a flat grassy spot, on a flat graveled spot, and even made the hexagonal wooden cutout that was suggested. I even removed one of the feet and tried to use clamps to force it on. Nothing worked... we then drove over 100 miles to a dealer and they could only get one on. They suggest that all of the RV’s feet are too concave and recommend that I replace them. This “easy” snap pad installation has already cost me over $200 plus gas.

I looked online and can’t find the specific part number for the Lippert feet. I see some that state front - some rear, and some don’t mention. I contacted Thor and they won’t sell them to me and pointed me toward “authorized” dealers. Wouldn’t even give me a part number. So - now I’m looking at paying MSRP and labor (I doubt they’ll order and hand them to me).

I’m pretty unhappy now.

Has anyone replaced the feet on their 38RE? What is the part number and where can I get them?

I'm sorry to have to ask this...

Did you use LOTS of soap during the installation attempts?
Try heating them up a bit, so that they're more flexible.

I imagine Thor won't give you the part number because they don't know the part number. The leveling system is a Lippert system and not a Thor system. Try contacting Lippert directly and talking to them. Thor should have given you their contact info in your owner's manual.

You might also call the snap pad folks and ask them for suggestions.

I will say the snap pad installation only took me about 20 minutes total.

I will be putting a set of SnapPads on my Magnitude next week. Same size as the nines on my Outlaw 29H and they went on with no problem. I put wood blocks on the ground and used Dawn dish soap and they went right on.

It is also recommended that you first clean the landing feet and then coat them with Flex Seal or a truck bed liner material. Allow them to dry 24 - 48 hours before installing them. Dish soap or a silicone spray will help in the process.

we ad the same problem. Snap Pads said he feet should be flat, but they are concave. Called Lippert for help but got no response - Covid-19 delays/staffing is what the message says. Need to replace them any way as they are getting bent more nd more. Retruned the Snap Pads at a cost of $40 bucks to me, but got my $139.00 back. I'm not even sure I can get the Feet off this thing. If I snap off a bolt it will be hell to try to drill it out and replace. Also thinking on going to the 12 inch pads.

All - thank you for the responses... here’s what’s happened since my initial post.

I ordered 3 new feet from Lippert. They’re out of stock for the next week or so. In the meantime my neighbor came by to help fix a flat on our tractor. I mentioned the snap pad issue and asked if he could possibly use his hydraulic shop press as a last resort to put these on. I took off the 3 un padded feet and 45 minutes later he had all the pads on.
I sent email to Lippert cancelling the order. Hopefully they will listed and not charge me a “restocking” fee.

Bottom line - we’ve got all 4 pads on and we can’t wait to get out and level “the beast!”

Who recommends coating the leveling feet with flex seal or a truck bed liner? That is not a Snap Pad recommendation.

As to Snap Pads not going on they have a page on their website regarding the issue.

It was recommended some time back to help prevent the landing pads from rusting. Just a rust preventive which has nothing to do with the snap pads themselves

I had to take my steel pads of the bottom and use a shop press to make them flat again. Worked like a charm and the snap pads fit like a glove and went on easy

I put snap pads on our Mobile Suites and it took some time and lots of lube. With the mobile suites the jacks are on I believe a 5 degree angle. So I had to shim up a corner to level things out while snapping them in place. We had one trip with them and I really like them.

Put your RV on flat concrete. Take the pad and apply spry silicone, set the pad on the foot one at a time. Have someone lower the jack you have the pad on. The weight of the RV will snap it on. If it does not work the first time you may need more pressure, so have some blocks the size or larger that the pad. Place the block under the pad, apply the pressure and it will snap on. We did all four in 20 minute.

Don't you have The Equalizer leveling System? I have that system and the feet are smaller in size which require the Compact Snap Pads to fit. I believe my foot pads are 7 inches. I checked with Snap Pads and they do carry the Compact size now at $149.00 for the set of 4.
