Adding a second graywater tank

I'm going to add a second grey water tank for boondocking.
I will use a macerator pump to transfer from the current grey water tank to the secondary grey tank in the secondary tank will have its own Outlet. I've done this before in a trailer to work really well. What I need help with is where to put it on my Thor Palazzo. The best place I could find was right in the def compartment. I was thinking about getting a welded frame to set a tank on. My question to everyone is is there a good amount of heat in the def compartment because the engine is pretty close. I don't want to have my tank melt since it'll be a ABS.

Let gravity do the work

Why not just run a hose from the upper level of the existing tank (screw in fitting) to the new tank, wherever it is, to a lower level of the new tank and let gravity do the work instead of adding another pump system? If you use a tube down into the original tank, you could actually use a natural siphoning technique to keep both tanks equally filled.

On a Diesel rig only - DEF = Diesel Exhaust Fluid - the compartment housing the tank and associated equipment.
Part of the emissions control to treat the exhaust coming from engine.

Thank You for the quick reply. Interestingly, that is the reason I went with a gasoline engine. We only use the RV once in a while and I have heard that is also a no-no for a diesal engine. And then there are the fuel injector issues...
