Over stove light

Though we do most of our cooking outside (grill), when cooking inside the over stove light in the microwave was so far rear it did little to light the stove. Problem solved!

Took out panel above microwave, spliced into the 12 volt wire, ran wire under existing plastic cap that hides ceiling seal. Worst part was splicing the 12 wires as there was very little room up there. Also had to file a channel in panel. Took about an hour.

Great Idea! I may do the same so the wife doesn't have to turn on all the interior lights just to see what's cooking.

Exactly tomwht! My wife would use a flashlight sometimes instead of turning on the lights! Silly gal!
