Overhead storage restraint

I have a four winds 24fs class c, which we really like. As it is just SWMBH and i, we don't NEED the overcab bunk, but would rather use that space for storage. I like the open-ness when the part of the bunk is also up and out of the way. Problem is: gravity. Stuff falls when driving. How can I put something across to prevent it?

I thought of a tension extra long shower rod, but....Problem with a tension or shower rod is there is a window for the above cab bunk on the drivers side of the overhang. So that won't work.

Thought about a cargo net, but there's no way to know where to screw anything to hold it.

Thought about long pieces of self adhesive velcro, but SWMBH wants to be able to see in, and wants it to look "nice".

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you remove the mattress: it should give enough of a lip to keep things up there.

Welcome to the forum. I am using a Toddler Bed Rail Guard to keep everything on the overhead bunk. It slips underneath the pad and flips up to keep everything up there. When I need to access something on the overhead bunk, I push the two latches(one on each side rail) to fold it down. Works like a champ and nothing falls down. I bought it on Amazon. It was the Toddler Twin bed size. Not expensive and works great. I also use it when my grandson sleeps in the overhead bunk to be sure he does not roll off.

We use a cargo net... put some decorative screwed in grommets for anchoring the net...

No longer have to worry about items flying off the overhead bed...
