We find the ATT mobley usually locks on with 3 or 4 bars at most campgrounds. The down speed is 850kb/s at 3G which is the max in rural areas. The published data rate for 3G is 2Mb/s, but I have never seen anything approaching that data rate except here in San Antonio, TX. 4G LTE is about 3 to 5 times faster but you have to near a large city to get that type of cell signal. A signal booster is going to change the signal strength but not the data rate. The data rate is determined by the network and cell tower. So if you aren't experiencing signal drop out, a signal booster isn't going to help.

For anyone that has Sprint service they have an item called a magic box that is free from them and 110 V plug it in. I ordered one yesterday and will use this weekend and will report back

How did you get $50 per month for unlimited data. At my home I pay $100 for 100 gigs per month?

I signed up for PlayOn Cloud. They also have a Desktop version. The cloud version records whatever Netflix programs you like. I have them record everything I want to watch in advance of a trip. Then I download the recordings to my iPad (they are mp4 files). I airplay them to an Apple TV hooked up to our RV television. You could use the HDMI adapter or other casting apps to do this. I end up using zero data on my phone because the recordings are done in the cloud and the downloads are done over my home internet connection.

Oh... the PlayOn recordings are $.25 each.
