Problem with hooking up a digital thermostat

Hi all,
I've searched and looked at everything I can find in this forum as well as on YouTube.
I have a '16 ACE 30.1 and am changing from a Coleman-Mach to a Honeywell digital that uses 2 batteries.
I've got everything working IE: heater, fan, compressor BUT problem is when I activate the heat, the fan in the AC unit also comes on ?

Anybody have any ideas why AC fan is also running with heater ??

Marc

Probably something in your wiring is off. How did you wire it up. Pic shows how I did mine and I only hooked up high speed. To include low speed I would have needed to add a toggle switch. Dont need it so it wasn't done. Straight color code match

Thanks for the response half-price,
Actually I just discovered the problem
There is a slide switch on the backside of the main unit that is labeled on left side for "oil or gas" systems and right side for "elect or heat pump".
I assumed elect or heat pump and that's what was turning the AC fan on with the heat. Should have been switched to oil or gas. Works like it should now.
Go figure 🙃

Thats kind of weird but as long as it works thats all the matters

Just make sure you keep batteries in the mh just in case the ones in the unit die. They last a couple years but you never know when they go
