Quantum RS26 Mods
Having downsized from a class A to a class C left us with the obvious loss of storage capacity. I fashioned 2 modifications to remedy some of this loss. The first was adding a folding shelf in the outside storage bay under the bedroom slide. There was too much vertical dead space and by adding a foldup shelf I allowed room below and above for lawn chairs, folding table, and storage containers. See attached photos of new shelf folded back for access to lower portion and folded down to provide a second surface for table and chairs. This shelf is covered in speaker box fabric.
The other modification involved utilizing wasted space under the oven. There is an access door that covers a large void over the wheel well. By adding a filler panel stained to match the cabinetry, drawer slide supports, and a 18" x 13" x 6" drawer the DW now has additional drawer space for kitchen items. Access to this area is still available by removing the drawer. Photos attached of before and after. Both mods accomplished with 1/2" plywood and 1x4 ripped to size.
Hope the pictures come through, first attempt at posting photos!
