Recliners in the Motorhome?

Hi,

I'm hoping that someone can shed some light on this for me. We currently have a jackknife sofa, and we'd like to replace it with 2 recliners and a table in between. We just went to Camping World to actually see the recliners before purchasing them, and a parts department employee told us that there is no way to secure them to the floor. This doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Does anyone have any experience with placing recliners in their motorhome? How are they secured to the floor?

Looking forward to anyone's help.
Many thanks,
Vicki

We replaced the POC couch in our MH with a dual reclining loveseat as the width we were working with was only 58". The couch had dual seatbelts which were bolted to the floor in the back. I just added a couple of pieces of chain to the same bolts and attached them to the loveseat frame. That sucker ain't going nowhere unless we roll it over. Even then, it will probably fall apart before it moves more than a few inches.

There are many posts on this forum where owners have rreplaced jacknife sofas.
I installed RecPro cloth recliners with the center section-68 inches wide. Whatever brand you choose, it will be a huge improvement in comfort!

Oh wait, yes you can.

(These are Shop4seats Monaco Double Recliners. I went with them because I wanted to keep the center seating position. They do have other options, however.)

Yes, we actually sat in the recliners that we want to use, and they are a huge improvement in comfort for sure. Can't wait until our next trip to actually be able to use them.
