Do you have the option to remove a window?

Well, actually the emergency rear window. But then I don't know how tall I would need...

I have a 2014 freedom elite 31L in as a 24 inch door and I was able to get my recliner‘s in there just fine I had taped up some cardboard on each side to make sure I didn’t scratch the material or anything but it’s tight but it went in with no problem you do have to take the back off and put one piece in at a time but that’s no problem either they were Thomas Paine recliners as well

I was just trying to come up with some "outside the box" thinking for you...

No worries... I had seriously been considering that already.

Have been looking at the Thomas Payne Momentum RV Dual Reclining Sofa w Console on etrailer and they say it requires 26 inches. Kinda find it hard to believe there are different size doors.
Awaiting answers on this also?

I have a Hurricane and the door opening is 23-3/4. I had to remove the assist handle on the left side to fit the removal and install. Jerry

Our Axis door is the same standard 24-25" door that every RV has but it didn't matter: the Monaco Shop4seats recliners we purchased come in pieces so you don't have to fit the entire couch/recliners through the door.

(The backs of the recliners also come off.)

Thanks Jegdrum5050. We did look at those, and I think they did specifically say they fit. The wife likes the look of the Thomas Payne better so....

Would also like to replace with recliners, what about heat vents in the couch? What's a good company to order from? I have a 2018 ACE 30.4

I have the same question.
There is a heat vent in the base of the sofa. For those that changed out the sofa for recliners and had a similar heat vent, how did you reinstall/reroute the heating when the recliners were installed?

I have a 2018 Thor ACE 27.2. What is considers mid-gray and rear gray on the control panel? I never get anything from the gray valve next to the black valve. Those are behind the rear tires. The one gray valve in front of the rear tires is the one that’s dumping my kitchen sink. Is there really (3) holding tanks? (2) Black and (2) gray? Or only one gray? I’d appreciate an answer. Thanking you in advance.

Replacing sofa

DocMike, I replaced the sofa on my Axis 24.1 with the exact same set up as yours. Got mine from Lazy Days in Tampa, $1100 total installed, and they took away the old sofa. I was there at the end of a month and they obviously needed to meet their sales quotas. Anyway, I'm so happy with it!!

Heritage Right Arm Reclining Sofa, Beckham Tan #334503 (SKU#83875).
Heritage Left Arm Reclining Sofa, Beckham Tan #334505 (SKU#83876).
Heritage Center Console, Beckham Tan # 334510 (SKU#83878).

Bill was $1015.98 Parts, $178.00 Labor (installed by CW), $100.00 Shipping and $75.32 Taxes...for total MOD COST of $1,369.30.

It has been our most expensive MOD, but one we use each and every time we open the door!

I've done this mod with what I would call poor results...problem is the sofa sets on the raised floor... unless you use a recliner from a rv furniture store... it sits too high... so unless you are 7' tall your feet don't touch the ground.... what it did on my pace arrow was built my own sofa that doubled as a storage box...I was able to use the cushions off the OG sofa so everything matched...

IMHO.... the fold out sofa deal in the 29m is horrible at best..

Motoko,

Glad you got it done. We have enjoyed the MOD since day one. As a mater of fact, last night after work my DW and I went out and sat in the Recliners with a glass of wine and planned our next roadtrip. Enjoyed the peace and quiet even though we were just sitting in the driveway (with shore power).
I hope you will also enjoy the MOD!

Doc

My 2018 vegas 24.1 did not have a heat duct running behind couch.
