Replace fog lights

Our 2014 Challenger needs to have the fog lights replaced. Why do these have to be bought through a dealer at least that is what Thor told us when we called him and he gave us the model number. Is there an after market that would replace them? Where does everyone go for your parts? We like to save where we can as I'm sure most of you do. Thank you.

Here is the Fog light part number 0198695

Not having much luck finding them. Still don't see why I would need the whole unit and not just the lens.

Are there any numbers on the light housings or embossed in the lens? That may be a Thor only part number because I can't find it anyplace either. There may be another number someplace on the light that you can correlate to an obtainable part. ie: my ACE headlight is used on a FORD pickup.

Their is a white tag that says Hamsar Fog Lamp #83059C SN 120213.

They only sell to dealers and it would cost me over 300 for 2. That's not happening...

Wow, I agree that is just crazy. Might be time for some modifications? Upgrade to LED? If you take the old light out you may be able to find a replacement by looking at the mount and the bulb dimensions. I looked at the Hamsar site and the light looks kind of generic to me. Check https://blinglights.com/ to see if they have something similar or maybe https://www.etrailer.com/ I have bought stuff from both of these companies in the past and were good to work with. I also saw a Hamsar light on eBay, they said it was for a Winnebago but it may be the same as your. Looked it anyway by the picture.

I just saw this on Amazon, Don't know if it looks like yours?

If the mount is different maybe you can just swap the mounts?

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Fog lights are replaced and only cost 28 for 2. AutoZone was awesome in helping us. Thanks again

After market fog lights

I just installed new fog lights on my 2012 Thor Challenger. 3.5 inch diameter. I used the old brackets from original fog lights with a spacer on each side. I cut the plug off the old lights and soldered it to the wires on the new lights. The new lights are led and it makes a difference which way the lights are connected with the old plug. I purchased these on Amazon for 39.99 plus tax. They are called Exzeit spot light model LML-2318. They look fantastic and were easy to install. Good luck.

Fog light replacement

After much searching I found 3.5 inch diameter fog led lights of course on Amazon. They cost 40 dollars for the set of 2. The brand is EXZEIT for 12 or 24v. 18w. I did use the old mounting brackets if I remember correctly. I also used the old plug by soldering to the new light wires. If after you install them and they do not light reverse the wires. I am very pleased with the these replacements.
Model LML-2318 good luck.
